It depends on how they became blind...a good reason to donate your eyes when you die. Imagine being able to see again or for the very first time? Pretty amazing, huh?

Now we're 8 years on since this post the answer isn't no at all. it is most certainly yes and no for different reasons. Retanitis is incurable but through bionic eyes which are still early days I know that but they work so it in the laws of science is certainly proven to be possible. Full eye transplants that ain't ever happening billions of nerve fibres and a pointless prceedure so we improvise right. through Bionic eyes plus stem cells are starting to thrive and all the technologies coming in to play as our recent times. I recon we'll probably have eliminated Cancer, Diabetes, MS and all these awful conditions people have to live with on a daily basis. As for Blindness I think physical technology may be the one invention that'll fix it except stem cells for now in the next 10-15 years but imagine if they pulled these 2 things off?? It could be cured I hope it is they deserve to see what we see. :-D They're people too. I hope i'm right x

These are the ways the ways it can be cured heres how....
It can't be cured it is caused by a loss of sight it can be improved by surgury The type that can be cured is macular degeneration but regular blindness can not be cured you can visual defects and you can use special magification tools for reading.

Yes, some eye defects can be cured and one day with science I know blindness will to. students designed a easier and cheaper way to read brail. Read in Johns'Hopkins newsletters. So they are on their way.

if u were blind your whole life, i doubt you would want to see, it would scare you. i dont think complete blindness can be cured.

i do believe that in America thee is advanced technology that can allow a person to see for a very short time but unfortunately for most of us blindness is forever.
