I had hodgkin's lymphoma. I was diagnosed 4 months after I turned 18 and went into remission after 6 months of chemotherapy.

There is ALWAYS a first in a family, somewhere. No rhyme or reasoning to it.

It just happens, you take care of it with the 'best' drs. you can,
keep the 'best' health you can, a 'great' outlook on life, and the years continue to go on and on.

Everyone has something, we either become bitter or better.

I choose better. I hope you do also.

good luck to you

**** happens....too much exposure to carcinogens? The gene lottery finally called your number? There is not always a clear explanation. Sometimes things just happen. How far back can you trace your family history for medical conditions? Someone may have had it 4 generations back (which isn't really all that far removed), but no one knew what it was.

Bad thing happend to good people. The clue is keep going. The attitude that you take the situations very important in their solutions. Lock example of people like Mrs. Eduard's that is an example of courage. Read about how to help your self also. Figth with the cancer you are not alone. Trust in God.

In my years of practice I have seen many people get cancer when there has been no history of it in their family. Cancer can strike anybody. No one knows for sure why.

I'm glad you're in remission. Do everything you can to take care of yourself. eat healthy foods, drink lots of water, and take moderate exercise.

I think you would probably find that the pesticides/hormones/chemicals/medications and basically ingrediants in the food that you consume would have something to do with it. Good luck, keep healthy and positive .
