This is the reason for Dialysis.When your kidneys are failing to filter out wastes then the Dialysis machine will be necessary.In this case a person has to get Dialysis done on a daily basis.

No, they cannot function without at least one kidney. The absence of kidney function (renal failure) would require Dialysis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dialysis).

I'm no MD, but know several people with one kidney. You can't function with none. Talk to some medical professionals.

Life can be sustained on a limited basis by dialasys. that is the filtering out impurities in the blood by use of a special machine that literally takes you blood filters it and puts it back. Unfortunately the body can only handle this process on a fairly short term basis..... what that duration is depend solely on the individual

yes, but they have to undergo dialysis regularly. they don't live as long.
