Sometimes when I right about to fall asleep, I feel this sucking/pulling feeling (mainly in my head) and it is so overwhelming and scary that I fight against it to wake up. I was thinking that it was just the naturally feeling of just falling asleep, but I figure it should just happen without me even knowing, especially the exact moment I'm falling asleep. Kinda weird. I also see bright light patterns during this time to. I heard a Third-eye Blind song describing the feeling a while ago, I think the song was called "narcolepsy." So that made me think that it might be normal or at least some others might experience it. Anybody?

...how long did it take for you to recover?
How much tissue did they remove? Did you ever return to "regular"? Was it for Crohn's disease? Are you on any medication?

Which would be better to eat? Ice cream, or frozen yogurt?

Or should both be avoided? Or does it make no difference?

I am a 18 year old male and am a virgin. I found a lump on my lower abdomen right near my genitals. The lump is incredibly painful when any pressure is applied and it hurts to even touch it gently. I've researched and all I can think of is it being a hernia. What should I do?

Someone called me an intolerant asshole after saying eating disorders and alcoholism is not a disease. Now I say this because I thought a disease was an illness created by the invasion of pathogens into the body. Now I thought these are only biological, if someone decides to throw up it is not a disease. Now I believe that it can start a cycle where your body starts rejecting food. But I do not believe it is an actual infectious disease. That is completely ridiculous. And I'm willing to say the same about alcoholism. One chooses to drink your genetics have nothing to do with you choosing to be an alcoholic. Now I believe one can depend on it but still it is not a disease but a psychological issue. I do not think these should be worded as diseases. Because it takes the blame away from the idiots making themselves sick. Basically my question is if something is brought on psychologically how can it be considered a disease?

I've had a cold most of the week and sinus infection on top of that and am currently on anitbiotics. Don't ask how (I can be a hypochondriac) but I got afraid that I could have meningitis.

I don't think it's possible but I'm having a litle trouble seeing (think my eyes are tired, and will take my contacts out in a minute), the back of my head down into my neck on the right side hurts and I can feel the lymph node back there swollen, and I just feel weird on my feet. Is this all just a part of the other stuff?

Sorry to bother you all with this, but I really need you all to tell me that I'm just being unreasonable and hypochondriac right now. Thanks so much!

I'm 24 years old and just recently in the past few weeks I've been periodically experiencing episodes of excruciating sharp abdominal pain in my upper stomache and it also extends into my back. I think it may be really bad trapped gas. The pain is so bad that it's crippling and I sweat and have even vomited. I don't have diarhea though. But I did realize that one time I had cappucino with milk and cream about a half hour before, and another time I had tacos with sour cream before it happened. Does this sound like it could be lactose intolerance? If so, do I have to give up all the foods I love or is there medicine I can take?

I am 28 and have suffered from it for 13years and have not found a dr that thinks i'm "old enuf" or "bad enuf" Would love to see them live a day in my shoes... So I was just wondering, what options are out there for treatment. I've used Imodium and Maalox etc... But don't seem to last longer then an hr and arn't always effective. I can't bare to leave the house without knowing there will be a washroom at my convience at any given time. Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance

I was recently prescribed avelox for a cold or sinus infection and had a severe reaction. Within 10 minutes I became extremely hot and itchy from my feet to my neck. I then felt my hands swell and cramp closed. My husband called the ems when i couldn't stop coughing and my face became beet red. I couldn't catch my breath. I was able to walk to the ambulance with assistance, but once in there I felt like i would vomit. At the hospital i couldn't open my eyes and had extremely pain and itch in my legs that caused me to thrash my legson the bed. I was given 50 then another 50 mg of benedrill along with adivan. Slowly I came out if the pain. It was not a panic attack. I had them several years back. This was pain, itch, burn and swelling in my legs, neck and hands and difficulty breathing. It has been 24 hours now and i still am having a hard time opening my hands from the cramping. At times i still feel as though my extremities are numb. I would not recommend this .

Does anyone know anybody who has drank fuze and afterwards came down with a bad case of acid reflux? I drank one and I have never experienced heartburn to that degree. It's been three days and it is still lingering a bit.

Ever since the onset of winter, I have had the worst case of post nasal drip. It could be the heat, I don't know. I've tried different medicines and they clear my nostrils but I still have the nasty drip. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I am also a smoker who is unsuccessfully trying to quit, do you think that might be part of the problem?
