Ever since the onset of winter, I have had the worst case of post nasal drip. It could be the heat, I don't know. I've tried different medicines and they clear my nostrils but I still have the nasty drip. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. I am also a smoker who is unsuccessfully trying to quit, do you think that might be part of the problem?

Smoking is the problem to every thing, so they say. I smoked for 25 years, I quit 6 months ago, cold turkey. Anyway, a saline nasal spay should help. Also, suffering from the same thing, find the new vapor things that you use in the shower very helpful.

Ok, winter drip is caused by cold air condition. Spring drip is caused by your allergies. This happens to a lot of people, you can use an over the counter sinus medicine and that should work just fine.

And your smoking can make it worse.

SMOKING DOESNT HELP ANYTHING ! I HAD THAT NASAL DRIP JUST TWO WEEKS AGO AND NOW IT HAS GONE. I THINK IM BREATHING THRU MY NOSE MORE TO KEEP IT DRY. ASK A REGISTERED PHARMACIST OR TRY LOOKING UP ON THE SEARCH INTERNET FOR SUGGESTIONS. ONE TIME I PUT A PIECE OF TISSUE IN MY NOSTRIL SO IT WOULDNT DRIP THEN I BREATHED THRU MY MOUTH.

I'm a nurse. It could be the smoking, stick with it, you will soon be free. Also I would use some OTC sudafed or benadryl for this, halls is good too. It should clear/dry all that up for you. Take care and all the best.

Smoking is bad for the heart and lungs. If you can, QUIT the habit. It's very dangerous and maybe that could be part of the problem.
