Soy has enzymes that mimic human estrogen. It can be connected with thyroid problems. It makes thyroid problems worse and can make men grow breasts. I guess how much soy bean you use might make a difference.

Not in most cases. There's SO many potentional causes of either hyper or hypothyroidisim! I was diagnosed with hypothryroidism about 28 years ago, and I had never consumed soy products way back then...well, not much anyway. You must take these articles with a grain of salt because they're usually only focusing on ONE factor. The big picture can be found on the web easily. For example, check out the website I've put in the source section. But that's only one of many. Believe you me, I certainly don't know everything, far from it. I rely on my past nursing experiences, the web, and life's experiences....yep-I'm getting older at almost 52. Hope this helps, but I'm courious why you asked this question. Take care.

I also have Thyroid problems. Some of the things I have read that are contributing factors are.
Fluoride in our tooth paste interferes with the thyroid function.
Lack of Thiamine.
Also an article this week in First magazine says that O type (which I am) are prone to hypothyroidism. It says that Kelp Bladders-rack is rich in thiamine and boosts metabolism.
I am going to get some.

A few months ago, I was very sick, zero energy, freezing cold, depressed, weight gain, thought I was dying. I read every word of this Hypothyroidism Revolution program and followed all the advice. My life turned around the first week. I started to feel human again. Within weeks my energy came back and I felt like living again.

I saw a report on t.v. awhile back stating that soy products consumed by young boys can cause " Gynecomastia" or man boobs. The same dis-order that body-builders sometimes are afflicted by.
