I have had anxiety and panic attcks for years. Not fun. One time I really thought I was "on my way out...for good". My heart raced and beat so hard I couldn't believe it. I went limp, my head got all tingly and everything started to close in on me. I was shaking like a leaf. I almost fainted. My face and lips got really pale.My mother in law called 911. When they got to my house I was a wreck. They did an ekg and checked oxygen in my blood. Took my blood pressure, temperature and determined that I had experienced a major panic attack and suggested I go in to see the doctor and get some anti anxiety medication to take if I felt it happening again. I felt so stupid, so embarrassed that an ambulance came because I had a stupid panic attack. ti anxiety meds are a bad idea if you take them daily. However, if you do get some, make sure you save them only for those "special occasions" I carry mine around with me everywhere I go and that helps make me feel somewhat "safe". I know I have something to help stop those feelings when they are coming on and it makes me feel somewhat in control. Beware, anti anxiety meds are very very addicting if you take them every day. Also, there are really good antidepressants out on the market now that help keep anxiety/panic under control. Another very important thing is that I think you need to see a really good counselor that deals with these kinds of issues. Something weird is "triggerring" these episodes and a counselor can help you determine what that is. As you know, you can't just talk to anyone about this problem because they don't understand and you don't want people to think that you are "loosing it". Right? This is a horrible thing to have to deal with. A really good idea would be for you to get a complete physical and blood work done just to make sure there is not some underlying physical issue that could be causing these "attacks".
PS There are many calming herbs, vitamins and amino acids that you can take every day. I also have access to a catalogue that sells amino acids for the brain. They have a product called "Anxiety Control 24". I would be happy to try and find the info and give you the phone number or website. Another idea is to go to "google" and type in anxiety, panic, amino acid, herbs, vitamins and click on search. You'll be amazed with all the information that comes up. I "google" every time I have a question about anything. I usually have myself diagnosed before I get to the doctor.Take care.

You need to see a doctor!!! Having panic attacks is often from a chemical in-balance in your brain WHEN, your getting them every day. I've had several panic attacks and they have all happened right when im about to go to bed. I lay down and get this painful bubble feeling right below my chest and i feel like im going to throw up. Then my arms arms and legs get all tingly and really weak. When i try to stand up and walk i can't at all. My head throbs and i can't breath. That only happens when i think of something that really bothers me. If you are having these daily for no reason, it may be because of a medical problem. It is a common symptom of Lupus. I would really see a doctor. Is your swimming indoors?? If it is, the humid air may trigger it. Test your self, see if it happens in an out door pool.

panic attacks can be caused by anxiety among other things. There is medicine for panic attacks and also you could seek counseling and learn some techniques for coping with panic attacks. I'm not convinced your symptoms are from anxiety though. There may be an underlying medical problem. you need to go see your doctor as soon as you can.

I'm not a Beatles fan, and I don't find nothing offensive about that song or them lines at all. He was only making a statement about himself, or maybe even someone else, that hit their woman be it a girlfriend or wife, which sorry to say did happen more often back then than it does to day, I should say it happened back then as much as it does to day, but was excepted as in, people did not talk about it that much. And all Lennon did was bring it to the forefront, to let people know what is going on in the world, and no one is doing anything about it. But he or the person in their song is doing something about it, as he's stopped beating the woman and things are getting better. I don't see nothing wrong with that at all. I think maybe you are going overboard a bit with the song. So I guess you don't like Hendrix shooting his old lady and running off to Mexico. I bet she was beaten many times, before she was shot. Or the Rolling Stones, singing about how Stupid Girl, a put down on all women, and that they were useless. But that is not the case. One always has to remember in the 50s it was very well known that men beat their woman, girlfriend/wife, and it also was true into the 60s, when people like The Beatles brought it to the forefront. So as a song goes, it's a great song, for it's open to what was going on at the time, and that it's also time to change things and make it better. If I was bothered by that song for that verse alone, then I would be bothered by over have the songs in my collection. I'm okay with that. Cause all it is doing is telling me things like that got to stop, and we have to start to make things better. In which case he is doing. take care dave
