Im a 25 year old male in CA USA, for about 7 years when i go to sleep at night I see things when my eyes are closed, I see my surroundings almost as i normaly would in the swirls of my phosphenes. motion is easiest to see, like waying my hand infront of my face, but I've seen other things as well (like my cat jumping on the bed). I havent really told anyone before for fear of them thinking i was crazy, but its becoming a problem. I have cronic insomnia and not being able to turn out the visial world is making it harder. has anyone heard of anything like this? it looks like fuzzy shapes only slightly lighter then the normal phosphene swirls. motion is easier to see, and things seem to leave a trail like in thoughs wierd 60s and 70 movies. I've even gotten visials of things you cant normaly see, like the studs in my wall. I dont do drugs or anything like that, and have no idea what this is. if anyone has any idea, please let me know.

thanks
Nathan

Is there any medication that you take? If not you could possibly be hallucinating as a result of insomnia. Otherwise this could also be a rare reaction to caffeine that results in hallucinations called toxic psychosis. However I highly reccomend that you see a psychietrist or visit a sleep clinic. This may actually be valuble research for the sleep clinics.

You have a special gift. Is there someway you can be grateful for it. If you have a relationship with God, ask for his protection and guidance. If you do not , as your dream mind or your own inner wisdom to reveal to you what you need to know about this gift. You are very special. Do not allow fear to torture you. Probably better not to tell unbelievers or the Establishment. unless they are wise, they can judge you in a negative way. Ask your own inner knowing to show you the way. Explore, appreciate. and tell that part of yourself that you must get rest and meet the needs of your body. God bless you.
