Above poster you are incorrect. Multiple stings over time does not increase your sensitivity if you do not have an allergy. Second causing physical damage to a site of the sting does not decrease the toxin absorption. In fact if you cause trauma you INCREASE blood flow as the body attempts to repair damage, therefore you may increase absorbtion. Most patients with severe anaphylaxis reactions with be very ill very quickly.

The difference between people who react and do not react is related to IG and mast cells which I will not get into here as my complete knowledge on it fades since university

when a bee stings their venom is injected locally to your foot etc., your body immediately releases histamine and Adrenalin, all in an attempt to combat the venom, the swelling is local inflammation caused by histamine attacking toxin. the more stings you have in a life, the more histamine you build up, to the point that people say you allergic because you histamine is released every where, causing the throat swelling tongue swelling etc.

PS use a credit card to remove the sting just slide perpendicular to the skin over sting, it will not allow my venom in.
