What is the fastest, least expensive, and most effective way to get whiter teeth?
Please do not include answers like "Brush and floss your teeth" or "Go to the dentist."

Anything that may include a homemade-remedy or over-the-counter product would do nicely.

thank you!

My back right top molar has been hurting for almost a week now. I have a dentist appt in a couple days, but I'm wondering whats wrong... I can feel the nerve from where it starts in my tooth to where it ends way up in my head. It's slightly more sensitive to temperature, but mostly just hurts anyway. The top back left molar started aching yesterday as well.

Do you think this is cavities? Or do you think its something to do with wisdom teeth? I was supposed to have them out and never made the appointment....

Any advice for killing the pain between now and my appointment on Tuesday?

I had all of my wisdom teeth extracted and the bottom ones are taking longer to heal. I've been on liquid diet for few days now and everyone says I can pretty much start eating solids (soft). But I still feel some soreness around the socket and I take advil for it. Is this normal? Then I hear about dry sockets which scares me even more. I'm so paranoid to eat anything because then it will get stuck in the socket! am I being super paranoid? :(

I nned to take clindamycin hcl 150 mg for a dental infection but can't swallow pills. What is the best way to open the capsule and take it? Please don't say to just swallow the pill, even my doctor said that I would be unable to swallow pills because of an underdeveloped reflex or something like that. The pharmacy said it didn't come in liquid and I really need to get this taken care of before I loose any more teeth. Are the side effects worse if I open the capsule?

Hey!

I may just be over cautious here, but when I was flossing in between my molars of the top teeth I noticed that as the floss touched the wire it was bending quite easily and as it was bending the wire became a bit loose between th molars and it got a bit of movement through the last bracket where the wire terminates.

Is this normal or have I loosened it in some way?

Thanks in advance!

Adam

First some background: I am 30 years old and since I switched dentists I have had 2 root canals. In general I am good to my teeth and I have been complimented regularly by previous dentists. I know I do grind my teeth but I have an excellent night guard now. My friend also goes to this doctor and is now on his 3rd root canal in a year. In addition, I know this doctor is a prominently used for root canals and it is a major point of income for him.

Anyway, how I would go about sniffing out an unnecessary root canal procedure? I hate that I could be taken advantage of without knowing it.

For the record, I really like this dentist and the service is impeccable... I just am not 100% the services have been necessary to date. He even says I have two fillings which I failed to spot in the xrays he showed me ('they are hard to see' he said... "they are light shadows")

Aside from the sour taste which is impossible to miss, is using baking soda dangerous to either the teeth or the gums?

hahahh i know this is a really stupid question butttt...when you get food stuck in your braces (say at lunch) and like an hour later you are picking it out with your tounge. What do you do with it...do you spit it out onto the floor, ordo you swallow it...

The Endodontist who did my 4 root canals did not complete them. I had 4 abcess teeth all caused by very large cavities, the Dr. drilled a hole down the center of each tooth, he did not remove the decayed pulp or do anything else other than remove the roots of the teeth. I was told that they would perform the entire root canal and then put a filling in & that I would only need to go to my dentist for the crown. 2 of the filings have come out (they were temporary) and I am beginning to have pain again. I shelled out $5000 to this guy & am not sure how to go about getting some kind of refund. Since I had the work done two of the teeth have broken (because he drilled a lg filling in half) He also drilled through one of my crowns, that he had not discussed needing treatment, instead of the tooth next to it which was the worst of all my teeth. You can still see the huge cavities in my teeth & the back half of my molar has completely broke off +the holes where the fillings have come out.

how many years would it take a person to grind here teeth down at the front?

2007-02-08 06:14:36 · 6 answers · asked by Anonymous

Most Dentists still do the 2 part process (make a temporary while the Ingot is sent out to be made) and you have to return in 2 weeks to get the Crown installed. Some dentists now offer the new "in House" option where they can make the Crown the same day, virtually while you wait. has Anyone tried the new method and if so please provide details, any complications and how much did it cost you. Crowns run me about $700 ea out of pocket.
