i hav a curiosity.........when u visit a dentist do u call the dentist as a doctor or something else?

I have a bottle of hydrocodon and on it it says 5-500, does that mean 5 mg or what? How many of these (more than perscribed(1)) that could i safely take?

near the dangley thing in the back of my throat, behind it and to the right, there was a white dot, i assumed it was leftover food or something and let it go. my moms a nurse and didnt know what it was, she'd asked doctors in work who also didnt know what it was [though they didnt see it.] then the white dot went away, i actually like, dislodged it and spit it out. then it was just a bump, though i didnt notice if that was just how my mouth was or it was there the whole time, anyways, now theres a slightly larger white dot on it. i attempt to get it off with q-tips and it doesnt work usually. what does this sound like, and is it dangerous.

How come when I floss between a certain two tooths, the floss smells really bad. It just started happening recently, and also I would always get red gunk on it. It's really disgusting, how to get rid of it. This happened many times starting last week.
Ps: I wear braces since last year.

I feel so bad. She got her braces put on yesterday and she is really suffering. I am so tempted to take her back and have them removed. We are doing what the orthodontist says and I keep telling her the pain will lesson after a few more days. Am I right though?

I had a root canal done over a year ago and the dentist didn't put a crown on it. It is 3 over from my front tooth on the bottom. I noticed it on my way to work. The actual tooth itself isn't hurting, thank God, but the gums and teeth around are pounding. I have called all the dentists in town and they are telling me I have to be a patient there to be seen after-hours. Does anyone have any pain relieving ideas since I am at work and unable to see a doctor until in the morning. (I am having to pull a double shift, which is even worse). Thank you for your time.

I used to have medicade for my baby but when she turned one it expired welli'm only 16 and i live with my mom andthey go by her income and they say that she makes too much for my baby to be put back on medicade!! What other options do i have???

This shifting is causing my teeth to move forward and crowd out my front teeth. This is extremely horrible because I am only 20 and my teeth have always been perfectly straight, but now I have two overlaps on both the top and bottom set. When the wisdom teeth had originially broken through, they did cause a slight shift, but barely noticable.
I have spoken to three different dentists, even the surgeon who removed them, but they all agree that it is not common and that my teeth should be moving back instead. I got a plastic retainer to hold them in place, but it is impossible to remove and my teeth just go back when I eat.
Please I would really appreciate an answer, because I only had them removed in October (about 5 months ago) and they aren't fully closed yet.

It doesn't hurt, and it isn't blackish or dark. It's just like a cave I noticed that I've never seen before. I could stick a toothpick in there and it'll stay. It doesn't go all the way to the gum either

I whip my babies teeth off after she eats solid foods and give her water after she eats. When I nurse her at night before she goes to sleep I don't whip them off. She has her two bottom teeth. Could nursing her at night without brushing after cause cavities?

What insturment is used to keep the tounge and lips out of the way when getting braces/ fillings etc. It is usually clear and it like makes your mouth look like a duck. Also does it make you gag or does it go to the back of your throat?I have gotten it before but I have forgotten. I have a fear of gagging (ya i know).

I have had yellow teeth since i was younger. I have gotten my teeth whiten twice using BriteSmile @ Teeth whiten Spa and it did not have a great impact. Is their anything i can do to have a white smile????
