near the dangley thing in the back of my throat, behind it and to the right, there was a white dot, i assumed it was leftover food or something and let it go. my moms a nurse and didnt know what it was, she'd asked doctors in work who also didnt know what it was [though they didnt see it.] then the white dot went away, i actually like, dislodged it and spit it out. then it was just a bump, though i didnt notice if that was just how my mouth was or it was there the whole time, anyways, now theres a slightly larger white dot on it. i attempt to get it off with q-tips and it doesnt work usually. what does this sound like, and is it dangerous.

went to doctor today,
they said it was indeed a tonsil stone, as people are saying, and that its also not dangerous.

BEYOND ANY SHADOW OF A DOUBT IT IS YOUR TONSILS..WHEN THEY GET A BIT INFLAMED, THEY HAVE WHITE STUFF THAT COMES OUT. ALSO IT IS SOMETIMES DEBRI LIKE PLAQUE ETC THAT COLLECTS IN THE FOLDS OF THE TONSILS. THEY COLLECT AND THEN DISLOGDE. NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT TRUST ME.

I used to get something like that on the inside of my cheek. I think it is a form of a canker sore. Is it painful? Is the area around it red/swollen? It might also possibly be a form of strep. If it is getting bigger or infected I'd see a doctor. BTW, that dangling thing is called an uvula.

Is your tongue white in any respect? you assert that your throat is sore. I easily have thrush presently and that i had/have a sore throat from that too....it could produce some white spots on your cheeks, lips, tongue and throat. i could seem into it....i could desire to be (and specific am) way off although this is nicely worth analyzing approximately. If that's what you think of this is, pass on your checklist, he/she would be in a position to rx you many prescriptions to get rid of that nasty stuff.... stable success to you! Barb

i think i know what you are talking about. i thought i was the only one who had this problem but then i found out my brother has it to. it is disgusting! they are like little chunks of yuck. mine are more yellow. when i was younger they were white and i would pick them off with a q-tip (great minds think alike). lol and they would bleed. and they smell really bad. i always know when i have one cus it feels like something is stuck in my throat then i look in the mirror and sure enough there it is. i have alot of trouble with strep throat and tonsillitis. does your throat hurt? if so, go to the doctor to get antibiotics. good luck!

Probably a tonsillith (tonsil stone). It is pretty common and not dangerous.

IT COULD BE SINUS DRAINAGE ..ALSO COULD BE STREPT THROAT ..ALSO COULD BE TONSILLITIS ..YOUR BEST BET IS TO SEE A ENT DOCTOR ( EARS , NOSE & THROAT)
