i hav a curiosity.........when u visit a dentist do u call the dentist as a doctor or something else?

I have been to the doctor so much in the last few years I would rather go to the dentist.

yes, when i go to the dentist, i call them dr.
They went to university and took extra years to get their degree.
first it was a bachelor, then a master, and finally a doctorate.
It doesnt really matter what you major in, but it depends how long you keep studying and testing for to get the degree.

yes you can call them as a Doctor. they have that title as a doctor coz they got their license to practice dentistry. its either they have a title of DDS which means Doctor of Dental Sugery or DMD which means Dental Medicine Doctor or Dentariae Medicinae Doctoris. so you should call them a doctor coz they are those persons who went to school and specialize dentistry

Traditionally they like to be called Dr.
Personally, this is 2007--- and I don't go for that hierarchical crapolla for one second.
