I have a question. I don't know much about this topic so please bear with me. I had a consultation with an oral surgeon who told me my wisdom teeth needed to come out (after an x-ray and looking in my mouth). He mentioned nothing of them being impacted. However, I look in the mirror and don't actually see them. This means they haven't come in, I guess? Do they take your wisdom teeth out even though they haven't come in? The oral surgeon told me that they have to come out because they will eventually push on my other teeth. However, I don't see them in my mouth! So, if someone could tell me if they take them out if they haven't come in, that would be great. I keep thinking he made a mistake - but then again, i'm not educated in the field of dentistry! :) Thank you for your help!

Ever since my period a couple of days ago, my back hurts so badly right by my waist. It has never hurt like this before. What do you think may be causing it? Yes, I do have my period, but the pain has never been so severe.

I brush my teeth 3 times a day + right before I go out with friends and I use mouth wash constantly! I just want to know if anyone of you have found any real good solutions for bad breath, it almost seems like it may be more than just in my mouth and maybe from an internal source, lol I can't believe I'm posting this.... Any suggestions?

I recently had teeth #9 and #10 extracted due to decay. The dentist fitted me with a treatment partial but I know even after a few days that I will never be able to get use to wearing that thing. He never really told me what the long term solution will be to replace these missing teeth. What is my best solution. My remaining teeth are not in great shape, but I don't think that they are in any danger of having to be removed. I am very worried that I am going to be stuck with these missing teeth for the rest of my life.

The dentist wants to charge a friend $320 for theirs and i have seen some at a store for $20, is there a difference? Also, he's having a bridge put in after years without those teeth, the lower teeth have started to grow further up, he doesnt want a curved bridge like the temporary one is. Will those lower teeth wear down when the permanent bridge is in? Can the bridge be made perfectly straight? What if the whole treatment plan was paid for in advance with credit, and the dentist seems set on their plan? All he wants is a complete straight smile. What should he do? Please help.

I have pads of butter in my mouth. What's an effective product to make my teeth shine? Are there any side-effects/dangerous happenings that can come from using something to whiten teeth?

In a week or two I will recieve my invisalign trays that I have been patiently waiting for... The orthodontist said my treatement time would be about 24 months. I find this sort of odd? My teeth are perfectly straight, but I have a large gap in the middle of my top front two teeth. I am wondering if anyone has used these for a simialr reason. (to close a front gap) and what your time of treatement was? I am getting marreid next June and just want things to be done by then!

What's root canal therapy treatment? Is it 100% safe and effective. Is there any side effect? Can it be done at the same time after deep cleaning or it can only be carried out sometime after deep cleaning. Is root canal treatment necessary for perio disease treatment? My son may had fistula in his gum as his gum/teeth is feeling sore and dry. Can it be treated by taking medicine/prescription? Can deep cleaning be carried out if this happened?
Can anyone who knows please answer or give your advice urgently. Thank you very much.

Ok I am a 15 year old female. I am pretty healthy and last year all of a sudden i got this horrible rash on the inside of my cheeks in my mouth. The dentist told me it was oral lichen planus. i have never even heard of that before and when i researched it, it was said to occur in middle-aged people! It also said it could cause mouth cancer! I have never smoked, done any type of drug or sexually related actions to cause me to get this. The dentist said it could be allergies to certain metals from the dental tools but i get sore ulcers in my mouth even when i havent had a dentist visit. The ulcers hurt so bad that it hurts to talk and eat. I put medicine on it from my doctor but it doesn't help. Can someone explain this to me? It is scary to think that i could develop a cancer or somethig else. What can i do?? Thnx for any hlp u can give me!
