There are dentists who will put you to sleep, remove all the teeth, and fit you with a set of temporary dentures in the same day. After about 6 months, you would go back to be fitted for permanent dentures.

The dentist will make an impression with your teeth before he pulls them, then he sends that to a lab and when the dentures come in, he'll pull your teeth. If your dentist can, he will put the dentures in right after he pulled the theeth which is the best way. You need to put tea bags into your cheeks at home, it will stop the bleeding, keep them in overnight and take some extra strength Tylenol to ease the pain.
It's livable. You will have to go back after 6 months to have them relined as your gums will shrink.
