hm.....well if I were you i'd take a few aspirin before you get them. they push your teeth apart so, you're going to be sore for a while. When I had them I couldnt even chew noodles, so I suggest going tonight, and stocking up on soup, juice, pudding, jello, etc. Anything you can just swallow. Dont worry it's not unbearable. Most of us have had to go through it at some point in our lives. Good luck with your braces.

After the doctor puts the spacers in, I was uncomfortable for a couple of days... they move your teeth enough for the doctor to put the metal bands around your back molars. I'd have some soft foods on hand; soup, jello, pudding stuff like that, because it hurt a little bit to chew. Good luck to you.

I had those in 5th grade... wow, like, forever ago. Got them before teeth were pulled, though. My wasn't that fun?

Anyways, they'll feel funny, maybe a little sore since they are pushing your teeth apart. That's about it, just ignore them. Anything you need to know the dude should tell you.

and BTW, if you think that the spacers hurt, my god are you gonna be hurtin' once they start tightening your braces.

spacers will make your jaw very soar. You should have ice to suck on or anything cold for the tenderness. Also you should take something like Ibuprofen before going in so it won't feel so bad. I went through spacers, braces and rubber bands already so trust me. I know!

whenever i got reeeeeally sick of my spacers being in....oh wait are u talking about the metal ones? if ur talking about the blue rubber ones that they just slip in between ur molars, then whenever i got sick of em id pop em out with a toothpick. feels niiiiiiiiice. the metal ones are fine. w/e. look forward to having ur braces off. ur teeth feel super smooth and loverly after u get em off.
