it's most likely your period...even if it's never happened before... if you havent pulled something (which you'd have noticed imediatly)or done some kind of heavy lifting without stretching then it's your period...it can cause back aches...i've gotten them too...

When you get your period your body is all thrown off. Maybe since your back or waist was already sore during your period. You pulled a muscle. I would go to the doctor, or at least call the nurses on call at your doctors office. I hope this helps. For releaf, try a heating pad.

Well it's not uncommon to have back pain but the pain you are describing could be caused by an ovarian cyst too, or maybe even a clot there. If it's really bad go to ER where they can do an ultra sound or CT scan and see what is going on.

If your back is hurting, at least on one occasion during the period. I would not naturally assume that periods have anything to do with back pain.

It really varies with each person, but i get back pains a lot also. Take Midol? Usually helps me :)
