My daughter's front tooth is loose but I seem to recall this same tooth already coming out. Just curious but how sets of baby teeth does a child have and will they eventually lose all of their baby teeth?

Hi, I'm 26 and I have the ceramic braces on top, I don't have any braces on my bottom teeth. For some reason, I noticed that the ceramic braces are changing color on me. They are starting to turn yellow!! Which is making my teeth look yellow. I brush all the time everytime I eat. (At least 5 times a day) My bottom teeth look alot whiter then my top teeth. Is there anything I can do? I get my first visit to get them tightened in 2 weeks. Can they change the ceramic braces to make them white again? How does that work??

I'm 43yrs. old .. don't have major crooked teeth never wore braces as a child......I want to straighten my two front teeth and my dentist (not an orthodontist) recommended a spring retainer - which i haven't rec'd yet but will shortly... my question is he said I'd only need to wear it about 5 months and should have my slightly overlapped front teeth corrected.. has anyone else used this method? (As opposed to invisalign or braces?)

If so, do you have any problems with them. Any cavities? The reason I ask is, I have to go to the dentist this Friday becuase I have a cavity in at least one of my wisdom teeth. I haven't been to the dentist in about 6 years and I'm terrified of going. I wish now that I had paid attention more in the past. But, life snuck up on me and I got married and had a baby and just forgot about my teeth. I really hope I don't have to have my wisdom teeth taken out! They never bothered my before the cavity. Is there any hope? Anyone out there still have their wisdom teeth?

I recently had an abscessed tooth. I am not sure if the white film in my mouth (between my gum and cheek (high inside mouth) is the pus draining out and building up or if it is skin that has formed in order to heal gums. I had been using various medicines(peroxide, Clove oil, anbesol, salt water) to relieve the pain. So I am not sure if I had burned my gums some how and now I am developing skin to heal or if this is the abscess draining. It feels like skin. Can someone give me an honest opinion on this. Please not dumb a** comments. Thanks you

I'm checking the yellow pages in order to find a dentist and am wondering what the different letters signify. ie, DDS is Doctor of Dental Surgery. Found PLLC after Allied Dentists. What does it mean?

I want someone who is very through in their cleanings, uses scaling tools (not ultrasound devices), and is passionate about wanting gum and teeth health for their patients, scraping off that tartar-even to the point of going beneath the gum-line in a regular cleaning. I had a hygienist like that loved her-but she retired and since then I have been very disappointed and really need a cleaning, so please help! Thanks!

Okay so I already had anothe post but it didnt really explain itself before, I am going to have my four wisdom teeth cut out tomorrow and they are going to have to put me under because they are laying sideways below the gum, so anyway they are saying they are going to give me Lortab 7.5 but I have a high tolerance for pain meds and a low tolerance for pain, I know it sounds weird but I was hoping to get Percocet (oxycodone & tylenol) what do you think the chances are that they will give me that? Also they are giving me penecillin, phenergan, a steriod and pain meds so I think it's going to hurt like he** does it? Which pain med do you think would work the best?

Thanks in advance!
