The reason some consider coffee "bad" for you is that it contains caffeine which is mildly addictive and can raise your blood pressure. If you get a headache on the days you DON'T drink coffee, you probably are having too much and might want to cut back.
That being said... Are you kidding????!!! Coffee is the best thing ever. Ben Franklin said "Beer is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy." I agree with one change... Coffee is proof God loves us and wants us to be happy.
As with many things, the question is how much do you drink and what happens when you do? If it isn't affecting your health or behavior, smile at the fellow, say, "thanks for your concern.", and walk away - WITH your coffee.

If you drink coffee that has caffeine, caffeine contains a stimulant that makes your heart beat faster and makes some people nervous. If you really like coffee, drink decaffeinated coffee. I have been caffeine free since 1998 and I feel 1,000,000% better.

The caffiene gives you energy so if you drink to much you could get reliant on it and start getting headaches and feeling tired when you go a certain time without having it.

Caffeine. If you don't drink it too much it won't hurt you. Too much caffeine can hype you up, keep you awake, cause breast soreness or lumps, nervous feelings etc. In moderation it will not hurt you unless you are allergic to it.

It depends on what week it is, and which paper you read.
One week they say coffee is good for you, the next they say it's bad.
So who knows?
