Yes a cavity can make your face feel numb, if its infected and you would have to make appointment with your Dennis to have him look at it. He can proscribe some antibiotics for you. This way it will get rid of the swelling and the numbness. You will probable have to have your tooth removed or drilled

You would have pain from a cavity not numbness. I would seek medical attention ASAP. That could be a sign of something else like a stroke or an aneurysm. Consult a doctor soon if the numbness persists and if you are feeling numbness in other parts of your body.
Now if you just had your cavity worked on at the dentist then that is probably the Novocaine wearing off.

I would tend to think that a cavity alone, while it can be painful, wouldn't cause numbness. Did you have the cavity treated? The numbness could be a sign of many things. Seek medical advice.

If the cavity has gone beyond just your tooth enamel and has abcessed beneath your root then, yes there is a chance that there could be some nerve damage--go see a dentist!!! If the infection spreads further down your face and into your chest cavity you could die!! People don't realize how important dental health is! People can develop heart conditions by not brushing!!!
**I had an abcess that I had to have surgically drained because I thought it was just a "toothache" when it was swollen there was some nerve interference.

if it feels numb and looks droopy then it could be bell's palsy which seems to be running rampid though out the U.S. my friend in NY had it and also a friend in indiana. go to the doctor and get checked out cause a cavity would not cause numbness. have you had an ear ache or cold lately? cause bell's palsy is usually associated or started with a cold. pain in your neck too. go to the doctors please. good luck and post outcome if you can.=)
