I want someone who is very through in their cleanings, uses scaling tools (not ultrasound devices), and is passionate about wanting gum and teeth health for their patients, scraping off that tartar-even to the point of going beneath the gum-line in a regular cleaning. I had a hygienist like that loved her-but she retired and since then I have been very disappointed and really need a cleaning, so please help! Thanks!

Don't waste your time or money-go to a dental school-they are very through (they have to be) and cheap, when compared to private practice.

I've got a fabulous hygenist in Westwood. Her name is Rita and she is at Tracy Golden DDS (periodontist)'s office. (310) 209-7572.
You will never know she had been in your mouth, she is so gentle. So is Dr. Golden. I had all four quadrants operated on, and a wisdom tooth extracted, and I never had ANY pain.
