6 times a day? that's too much! maybe like 2 to 3 times a day is advisable. too much brushing can irritate the gums and can cause a cut between your gums and the teeth and you need to fill it up... it can also be the cause of sensitive teeth... sometimes over flouride (in the toothpaste) can also be damaging to your teeth... when you're an agressive brusher and you brush your teeth 6 times a day then when you grow old your teeth will all become flat! you need to brush your teeth against the gums not stroking it forward and backward... because it would damage your gums.
>maybe just follow the dentist in europe because amybe they have a better idea and i think they're right. they don't want you to spend too much money because of filling and also it will save you from having sensitive teeth.

Twice a day for 2 minutes, brushing at a 45 degree angle towards the gum line using a soft bristled toothbrush with the smallest head on it for better manoeuvrability around back teeth.
It should actually be called gum brushing, not tooth brushing. Mornings after breakfast and evenings after dinner. Floss is also highly recommended as your toothbrush does not reach in between your teeth. With molars (back teeth), this counts for 1/4 of the tooth surface! If you don't like the idea of floss, there are many different products as alternatives a dentist or hygienist can recommend. To help you decide that this is a good thing to do I'll give you a scenario.
Some thing you ate today whether it be chicken or whatever gets stuck between your teeth and you don't floss it out. Your mouth is at a constant temp of 30*C TO 32*C. In a moist environment. Imagine you've left a bit of chicken in a plastic bag on the bench in the same temperature. What happens to the chicken? It goes horribly mouldy and disgusting. That is happening between your teeth if you don't floss and get the muck out.

Brushing 2-3 times a day for 2 minutes is often recommended -- but it's more the quality of your brushing than the quantity. Brushing too hard can be dangerous because you can damage your gums and cause them to recede, so if you brush a lot, it's probably best to use soft bristled toothbrushes. But as long as you are brushing correctly, brushing more probably isn't a problem.

My dentist says we should brush our teeth 3 times a day. I don't believe it is harmful to brush more oftem. I asked that question of a dentist that came in to the preschool class I was teaching. He said that you can't brush your teeth too much.

which would mean 3 times a day because thats how many meals your supposed have. but if you have like 10 meals a day [obesity]
i suggest you stick to morning and nights.
DONT FORGET TO FLOSS!

After each meal and before going to bed. If not, there will be food particles that will attract bacteria and rot your teeth. Plus it helps from getting bad breath.
