About a month ago, a small dark spot appeared out of nowhere on the gum tissue located in between two of my bottom teeth. The mark takes up the surface area of the very tip of my bottom gum tissue (the part that looks like a triangle). Now, it is a little darker, and the tissue feels hard, almost as though it were dead tissue. Does anybody know what this could be, and why this would happen? My teeth are well taken care of, and are in great shape. I have never had any tooth problems other than cavities, although I do have sensitivity near the gums in some of my other teeth, but my dentist at the time (I have no dental care at the moment) said it wasn't a major problem. I brush my teeth twice a day (sometimes more) but I don't floss as often as I should. Could this have something to do with it? If you are a dentist, your expert opinion is greatly appreciated. If you aren't a dentist, your suggestions are appreciated as well.....Last question: Has this happened to anyone else?
