I feel as a child and broke my teeth. I need to have them recrowned and also I need to have partials put in 3 spots where I have lost other teeth on the top row. I have alot of dental problems and was thinking of having the top ones removed and getting dentures. What are the steps and cost if anyone knows. I have excellent insurance but would still like a price to get a idea before I go talk to a dentist. Thanks

Every once in a while, my jaw will make a loud cracking noise, like someone broke it. Then for a few days after, it will make a horrible ripping sound when I open it. It doesn't really hurt, it just sounds horrid. It's only on one side. What could it be?

How bad was the pain? And would you do it again?
I hate the feeling after freezing and I've had fillings done without. Wasn't that bad!

Did you have to take the fluoride bite wings as a kid, I did and just brush you teeth with toothpaste that has it in it.Before I knew this, i actuallty did pick the brand that was promoting it. It causes osteoporosis and doesn't help with tooth decay at all. It's lie.

I went to the dentist because I had what felt like a chip in my back top right tooth. He said it might need a root canal, and he would drill it and see if we can just do the crown. He drilled the tooth down and put a filling in the tooth. I came back and he took x-rays he said it was close but it looked like he saved the tooth. He then put a temporary crown on it, and I waited for the permenant one to come back in so i could get it put on. When I went back he poped the temp off, and he scraped the bad tooth gently which still hurt. He said it would be sensitive because its so close to the root. He then cleaned it, and he dried the tooth with gause then pushed the permenant crown on very fast, and it was a VERY intense pain. He said its normal for that pain, and that it would go away. It eventually did, and it was sore. But its been a week today and I still get tooth aches. Im starting to get concerned on if there is something wrong. Does anyone know if this is normal?

I have a new job as market researcher of a small dental practice. Part of my job duties is to be able to competently sell these chairs at a huge convention. I must say my background is not in dentistry.
Are there any beginner books or websites that you can recommend?

Thanks

Not talking root canals. But do some people have smaller tooth roots than other? This may sound like a dumb question, but some people have larger teeth while others have smaller teeth.
I was just wondering if some roots run deeper than others.
Thanks

My retainer smells terrible whenever I take it out. Does anyone know why it smells and how to keep it from smelling other than brushing it regularly. (I brush it 2-4 times a day)

Is there any dentists (or non-dentist) out there that could please tell me whether it is possible to have underbite surgery without the need to go through years of painful braces? I'm 30 years old now by the way. I really hate my jaws. I look just like popeye when I smile.

Hi,
I do not have extra bright white shiny teeth. I am normal.
Coffee & a ciggy, and a couple of yellow ones.
I am fed up with folks on the box displaying a brilliant white set of noshers."Hey - look at me smile !"
I hope they fall out.
OK , perhaps I am a tad jealous, but by dentist informs me that it is about £10, 000 to have perfect teeth.
I don;t think that I shall bother.
How about you ?

Bob

I've had my braces off for a little over 4 years now and I STILL wear my retainers when I sleep. Well, It seems my wisdom teeth are growing in...and now my bottom teeth are in alot of pain! I put the retainers in during the day sometimes because they ease the pain(and the pressure)that I feel on my front two bottom teeth. They are tight at first, but after 30 min or so, they are loose and fit like the day I got them.

My question is, it'll be atleast 6 months before I can afford to get my wisdom teeth out...What's going to happen to my teeth? Will they move if I continue to wear my retainers? What about AFTER I get the wisdom teeth out? Will they spread way apart?

I'm really worried. :(

Thanks!

I'm 16 From the Xrays, i have one more baby molar left. i'm in the dental centre queue for braces [being subsidized].my case is complicated and ex.

of the four adult front teeth, three are abnormal. meaning they look pretty much like vipers. V U V V is what you'll see, only not that sharp. i'm conscious of that. also i have four or five missing tooth, mainly molars. the baby molar is grossly misaligned and has some kind disease in my opinion. it always bleeds. brushing is tough. i tried asking dentists and endo to extract it but they said it's all right to leave it there. now, the molar on the other side at the same upper part of my mouth is starting to be misaligned.

I'm to have two more wisdom teeth to erupt but only half has came out. how long will it take to fully erupt? it's slanted.

there'll be a mal and endo working on my teeth. braces, implants, bridges, veneers, caps are what i've heard from dentists and them.

what is the best treatment? really conscious and seldom smile.

i woke up in the middle of tonight to a really bad tooth ache.
its my bottom front tooth.
it's kind of cracked, not that deep but moderately.
my other teeth have those cracked strips on them too but not even close to as deep as this one is. and those ones don't hurt.
i bite my nails on that tooth all the time which is probably the cause, but i cant help it bc its been a habit for about 5 years.
every time i press down on that tooth or touch it i get sharp pains.

whats the problem?? and what will my dentist do about it??
