I recently went in for the Zoom Whitening System where they put gel on my teeth and sat me under a lamp for three 15 min sessions. The gel got on my lips and gums and I am now suffering with blisters and swelling. I can not brush my teeth. My teeth do not hurt from cold, my gums are just in serious trauma. Please advise...is this normal? Will it subside? Help!

My grandmother is in her mid 70's and has most of her original teeth (she had a few wisdom teeth pulled). She's used Pepsodent for decades and she swears by it. Anyway, is there something special about Pepsodent toothpaste that I'm not aware of, or could it just be good dental hygene? Or maybe she just has strong tooth enamel....

i have a teeth that's out of line, and i really feel bad when others are laughing yet am shy to laugh, because they'll look at my aside tooth.
am thinking about getting braces, i don't know how much it costs
but i always push it inside sometimes, but i'm not sure this works

I got a fair sized gap in between my front 2 teeths, anyways to fix it? Ive heard of braces do the job i don't know how long i would have to wear them and how much they are to just fix gaps.

When you get a bone fracture it will eventually heal. How come if you lose teeth they cannot grow back? It does for some other animals.

In the beginning of this year, I went to a wisdom teeth specialist and was told that to take out all four of my wisdom teeth it would cost almost $2000. I later went to my general dentist and told them what they said, and one of the girls there said that if I let the teeth come in a little more, then maybe the doctor could just pull them and it would be cheaper. Well, it's been almost 7 mts. now and my lower right side one is bothering me, but I really do not see any tooth coming in, so I do not know how the doctor would be able to do anything for me. I do not remember experiencing any bother with the others and I have seen one that has come in completely.I did schedule an appt. with my general dentist Wednesday, but to pay $63.00 to just have them look at it and I do not know whether they will be albe to do anything about it is kind of what I am not sure of. I had planned to just let them come in and just stand the pain. What do you think?

i have two teeth that were or mybe still infected, since then my ear has been infected, my throat is sore and my neckglands are swollen. i am taking antibiotics untill i have my root canals this week. Are my symptoms normal with my problem.

She goes back in one week. Do the spacers come off before the actual braces go on? Also, I know that there is alot of pressure and pain, any suggestions about what to do for the pain for her?

I know this question has been ask before, but I was wondering more opinions from different users. I was using the Pre-Rinse Whitening Listerine mouthwash kind but I had to stop using it since my tounge is pierced, the alcohol in it was making the hole sore. So, I recently bought the alcohol free mouthwash that Crest makes. Can you name good toothpaste brands or whitening strips that show actual result?? Also, if you have any before or after pictures, that would be awesome.

I have a real problem with getting my teeth cleaned. They are so sensitive especially around the gum line, that having my teeth cleaned is pure torture for me and I mean that literally. So needless to say, I only have my teeth cleaned appx. once every 3-4 years. Sad but true. I've had root canals, crowns, fillings...you name it, i've had it done, and nothing for me is painful except a cleaning. I realize that prevention is the key to good oral hygene and healthy teeth and gums, but I just can't bear getting my teeth cleaned. I welcome any suggestions. Thanx !

I've been told i need my wisdom teeth taken out under general anisthetic however i heard it is expensive so i've been advised to join vhi or some such thing and get it done this way. can anyone help with the how, where how much of this operation and if it hurts?
