If you are over 30, this is normal. EVERYONE develops small hairline cracks in their over time. Hot and cold cycling; pressure of chewing and grinding; wear and tear on the parts. I have a crack in my central incisor that happened when I was ten years old and hit the side of a swimming pool. That was 45 years ago and the tooth still looks just like it did back then. No problem.
Here you go. This patient is "over 70," but look closely and you'll see dozens of hairline cracks that run up and down on her upper and lower teeth. This is the kind that I am saying is normal.

See a dentist. Yes, cracks are a big problem. If you go in time, the dentist will find out why it is cracked , fix it and maybe even do a little cosmetics on it so you don't lose it. Good luck.

Id say you should worry but not to much, see your dentist cracks can sometimes occur when you eat something hot followed by drinking something cold, which we've all been guilty of at one time or another. So like i said before see your dentist only he can accurately tell whats going on in your mouth, and keep on brushing.PS.a friend

get yourself to the dentist, i had a small crack in my back tooth for ages but one day i couldn't even put my teeth together without being very painful so don't let it get to that stage cos it really does hurt, save yourself the pain and get it sorted now, good luck at the dentist cos i hate them!!

Just continue with your normal dental care routine, not forgetting regular check-ups at the dentist.
Once you have a crack nothing can be done to stop it.
If it starts to be painful the nerve can be removed, but why put yourself through that before you have to?

They're natural, everybody has them to a greater or lesser degree.
Nothing really you can do about them.
Avoid smoking, red wine strong black tea and coffee to avois staining any of the deeper cracks later in life.

Call your Dentist. It can be taken care of now, before it gets worse. If you want to save the tooth call.
