My grandmother is in her mid 70's and has most of her original teeth (she had a few wisdom teeth pulled). She's used Pepsodent for decades and she swears by it. Anyway, is there something special about Pepsodent toothpaste that I'm not aware of, or could it just be good dental hygene? Or maybe she just has strong tooth enamel....

I think your grandmother's "constitution" has more to do with her good dental health than her choice of toothpaste, but I do like the flavor of Pepsodent. It takes me back to my childhood...

Good Commercials.

"Poor Millicent, poor Millicent, she never used Pepsodent. Her smile grew dim, and she lost her vim. So, folks, don't be like Millicent. Use Pepsodent."
Since way back Pepsodent has been able to reach people thru good advertisements.

In the New York scene of both the 1933 and 2005 films King Kong, a Pepsodent sign is a very prominent advertisement; a massive animated neon sign hangs on a building in Times Square.

Nothing special. It has a great deal to do with her diet and how offen she brushes. I have used it myself because it easy to buy.

Just good hygiene. And good genes. Any type of toothpaste works so long as you are brushing and flossing thoroughly.
