So I decided to start eating healthy and exercising more a week ago and I've been doing really well. But today my family wants to go eat IHOP for breakfast and I'm real happy about that since we don't always spend time together. I still want to eat there to show but I just don't know what to eat. Is there anything that isn't too fattening and maybe a little healthy. I've never been there so can anyone help me out? Thank you.

I was watching Oprah the other day, and it was the episode on autism, my brother has Aspergers' Syndrome, which a form of high functioning autism, so my interest was immediately peaked.

This one woman was very adamant about the connection between autism and vaccines. I was all at once baffled and disgusted. Did she realize that she was turning off millions of mothers from vaccinating their babies, which could not only make them incredibly sick, but damage them for life or even be fatal? Does she realize that there is no solid evidentiary basis for that claim? I think that all options should be researched, but this one just seems a little off to me.

One could in fact argue that autism is getting more common then it was before, and link that with the discovery and use of vaccines, but I believe that its just being properly diagnosed a lot more often.

Any thoughts?

Hi, over the past years, I have been feeling what I believe are acidic reactions to beverages and food. Sometimes my throat burns and hurts especially after drinking iced tea, pineapple juice, and sodas.

The worst part in my 'acidic attack' is when I feel the 'substances or chemicals' or whatever it is down to my shoulders. The seering pain sometimes lasts 5 minutes.

I haven't been to a doctor yet and I plan to go.

I just want to know which doctor I should check up to also. Thanks thanks

I've been having a pain in the roof of my mouth lately. Just went to the dentist to get routine check up and cleaning, everything was ok. It does not really burn, but hurts, more when I eat than anything. Pain goes away at times, mostly at night. Don't really feel this discomfort until I wake up and start my day. Any ideas. I do have a small case of reflux, but no acid taste, since I've been on nexium.

I'm trying to stay up for 72 hours. Just as a personal record, but I keep crashing before the 24 hour mark. So I'm curious has anyone ever stayed up this long? How did you do it? How did it feel? And also I've heard that when you stayup for that long you start to hallucinate. Is that true?

Right. Hard to explain.
I lost a lot (I mean more than 10kg) of weight over a year ago, and had to put that back on. I am now a kilogram below what I used to be, and I am back into crazy long-distance running. But for some reason, when I sit down, I still get that small bit of skin that looks useless and unflattering. When I am in the bath in the evening, I can't even look at my stomach because it just seems to be too big? I've been running for ages, and I've got very strong stomach muscles, but I hate my stomach! Its got... stuff... that was never there before, and I am a kilogram less than I was before (apparently I'm still too light with a BMI of 18.2).
What the hell?
Is there anything I can do to make my stomach flatter and more like a runner's stomach as opposed to a trim, but non-exercising person's stomach? I'm getting to the point where I hate looking at myself.

NB: I don't want to lose *any* weight though. It might be dangerous.

I recently contract herpes. My doc said that because of the location of my blisters, towards the outside of my labia, condoms are not an effective way of protection because they only cover the shaft of the penis. The rest of the genital area is still exposed. So, will I have to wrap myself in saran wrap to have sex again?

This only affects me when I have been sitting or lying down, so when I get up, I find it hard to walk, more likely I am limping very badly and usually one foot is worse than the other.

Most of the pain is round the ankle, and sometimes seams like cramp.

Dont know if my other problem has anything to do with recent problem, and work A few years ago was told that I have a slow heart, which is being monitored, and my job does involve a lot of walking about, usually 7hrs a day,and 5 days out of 7 days

Since I was small I could only dream of the profession I am in. I'm getting worried because things are going too well. My life isn't supposed to be this way.
I'm afraid the next tragedy in my life is just around the corner and I'm living in a comfort zone and I just don't realize it. I'm scared to death of losing my mother, or something happening to one of my siblings. I already lost an uncle 3 years ago to a tragic accident. I was totally in a comfort zone then too.
I'm starting to grasp for things that cause alot of stress or friction in my life because I'm scared to death of being in that comfort zone again. I stay busy constantly to the point where I never get enough sleep. I'm trying to stay grounded and keep enough problems in my life so I don't suddenly get jarred again with the tragic news. I'd be willing to give it all up just so I can lead a normal life. What is wrong with me, I mean why can't I just be happy with everything I have going?

My sister recently went to the dentist because she had noticed what looked like a small cavity on the biting surface of one of her molars. The dentist did a filling, but apparently the cavity was quite large in the dentine layer even though there was only a small hole in the enamel. He said that although it wasn't that DEEP, it was quite an extensive cavity and that she would probably need a crown on that tooth at some point.

Is that normal? I thought you only needed crowns when you had a root canal done on your tooth. And is it common to only have a tiny hole in the enamel but for the cavity to be quite extensive underneath it?

My cat was neutered and after the surgery we noticed a tuble like cord hanging from his incision. After another trip to the vet, some anibiotics, the vet decided to simply cut off this tube thing that was hanging off my cat. He said he had no idea what it was.I found it very bizzare he would so willingly just cut something off my cat's body without even knowing what it was. My dog is a golden retreiver. She has just had a physical about 2 weeks ago and was said to be in good health for her age (10) and nothing was wrong. In the past week we noticed her lymph node glands were swollen and took her back to the vet. He told us that it is probably canine cancer and took some tests to verify it. He said we may have the results thurs,so we called thurs and the lady said they were there but he still had to review them but he would def call friday. Friday passed, still no call. Now today (saturday) we tried calling & they have hung up on us and were very rude and still yet to give us the results
