My legs get an awful burning sensation in the shin area - burning like hot coals.
The burning is there 24 hours a day, sometimes it eases but never goes completely. Sometimes it gets so intense that I cannot sleep, or touch the skin on my legs below the knee. It feels like sunburn but without the holiday!!, and can be accompanied by a slight discoloration of the skin/light rash.
The doctor has failed to reach a diagnosis and says I must learn to live with it.
I am in my mid sixties, female and physically fit and active.
Can anyone help? any suggestions on what it could be would be appreciated.

I am 24 going on 25 years old and have had knee problems since I was nine. Because of these problems I have had 2 surgeries on my right knee. Now my left knee is giving me problems. It started out as a tight feeling on the back and outside of my knee. Then it would swell and a knot would form on the outside. I had a MRI done about 8 months ago and the doctor says there was a small cyst in there and that it was nothing to worry about. Since then my knee has been getting worse. Now it is popping and hurting all of the time. It also feels like it getting caught and sometimes when I am walking up or down stairs the middle of my knee cap hurts and makes my knee give out. I have done a lot of research and have come up with nothing. I have no insurance but am tired of the pain. Any advice would be greatfully appreciated. Thanks!

I've had a stopped up nose now for more than a week. That's the only symptom I've had. I've tried DayQuil sinus, OTC cold meds, and even some prescription strength Mucinex but nothing is helping! Could it be allergies instead of my sinuses? If so, what is a good allergy medicine that can help w/ congestion? And how can I tell if it's allergies instead of sinus problems? Thanks

I'm 15. But i dont want them to put the needle in my left arm. I want it in my right. Will they ask me before they draw it, which arm i want it in? Or will they just choose my left arm as default? lol

to keep me from starving in the mornings. The reason I quit eating breakfest is because it makes me really hungry to where I snack all day.

Now that I don't eat breakfest I have also cut way back on the amounts I eat and I eat a small lunch like a turkey sandwich and a few chips, sometimes no chips. I eat a small amount of supper, like 1/2 the amount I'd normally eat. I drink water, juice, tea, and green tea with only a small amount of sugar. I get the feeling of being hungry constantly, but I know when my body really needs food because my head hurts, and when my tummy growls but my head does not hurt I feel that I am only wanting to eat out of habbit.

I've lost about 4-6 pounds in the last 2 weeks, and my hunger feelings are getting better from not eating as much.

I go to the gym at least 3 days a week and the days I don't go, I am walking and doing things outside around my home.

What else can I do to add to this weight loss ordeal?

When I get home from work at the garden centre where I work two days a week, my feet are so sore I can barely walk. Once I sit down I find it very hard to get up again and have to limp for a few minutes then they ease slightly. They throb and ache for hours. I have tried various kinds of shoes, walking boots and trainers and never wear cheap shoes. The rest of the week isn't too bad. I'm not lazy and don't sit that much, perhaps a couple of hours throughout the whole day.

My dad would tell me that walking 30-60 min. a day is good for you.

Sometimes I'd walk longer; in the range of 80 to 90 min. (not every day; I'd alternate). I'm a big time walker and I walk about 4-5 times a week, leaving 2-3 days to let my body "rewind." I took up walking to lose weight, which has worked well for me.

Would a nice, long walk be okay every once in a while? Once in a long while, I'd challenge myself to walk 6 miles and it usually takes me two hours to do that.

Is it okay to "push the envelope" when exercising sometimes or should I listen to my dad and keep it at 60 min. a day? For some reason, I can't see myself walking an hour a day; I like long walks.

I work 3rd shift. Last night we unloaded a truck. I felt fine. I came home and went to bed. As I was getting ready for bed my chest/esophagus started feeling uncompfortable. Like I needed to burp, maybe. I went to sleep and then woke up with pain (not severe make you cry pain-though close). I drank a coke as quickly as I could and tried to burp. I only burped a little. I went back to sleep and woke up maybe 15 minutes later. I was hurting again only now (sorry if to graphic) my left breast hurt all the way to the nipple. I went to sleep and woke up like this 2 other times. I finally just got out of bed. I have to work tonight and I really need some sleep. Now my chest is still uncompfortable. If feel like there is a lump in my chest now when I swallow. And if I try to burp (or do burp) it hurts. This has been going on for almost 6 hours now so I don't figure it is anything to serious. If you have experienced this, how do I get it to stop?
