I'm 15. But i dont want them to put the needle in my left arm. I want it in my right. Will they ask me before they draw it, which arm i want it in? Or will they just choose my left arm as default? lol

They will check to see which arm has better looking veins. You can tell them of you preference though and they will try to use that side if possible.

It means that she didn't know what she was doing -Proven if she tried in the normal spot (elbow area) then tried near your wrist. (that would also indicate that she or he is an idiot). This could also make the "bubbling" you're talking about occur. It was probably a tech or student, and that little form you signed probably gave them the right to allow the tech to "learn" or "practice" on you. With that said though, it's actually important for these guys to learn -and it's actually pretty scary to be taking blood from another person for your first time. If you're sensitive to the pain or squeamish about it, just be sure to ask before anyone takes blood again. Just be nice about it and they will too.

You'll have to tell them. I do it all the time because I'm right handed and the veins in that arm are larger.

You can ask them to do it on whichever you prefer but they will make the final decision based upon your veins. They usually have to do mine on a certain arm now i cant think of which one lol but becuz those veins are easier to get.

I think its normal to pick the hand you dont write with. The blood is much better in the left arm because it is closer to the heart.

They will give you a choice. The needle is very sharp and there is no pain, just a quick sting. Don't look at the needle or test tubes and you will be ok.

they will let you choose but normally its your dominate arm, if youre right handed, your right arm. i thought you had to be 18 to give blood?

You can pick the arm, don't worry. Just be upfront about it.
