Health - 15 May 2007

My jaw would start popping when I ate or tried to open my mouth really big. Now, I can't open my mouth all the way (it hurts too bad!). Does this sound like TMJD? Would I see a dentist or my regular doctor for this? Also, any tips to ease the pain in the meantime would be great. Thanks!

hello, i'm 17 and i really would like to get rid of this belly. I mean, i do a lot of exercise, 30minutes bicycle every morning, and two hours working out in the gym every afternoon. I keep a tight diet always trying to eat healthy things. I am not fat due to the fact that i work out, but this belly just doesn't seem to go away. I do a lot of ab training as well, and i can feel my toned abs underneath the fat. I am really desperate as its been one of my objectives and it just doesnt go away. I would like any kind of advice, from supplements, tablets or anythign you consider to be useful to me. Thank you.

Can a pinched nerve cause numbness and tingling in both feet and hands/arms at the same time? and it varies sometimes its more noticeable and sometimes there are small temperature changes hands get hot for 10 minutes and cool back down, or does this sound more like a nerve disease

Is Midol supposed to make you feel weak and tired all the time? I only took one which is not really normal for me. I usually take a half of one. I'm 19 and I don't think this is supposed to happen. Is the drug inside Midol too strong for me or what? Can someone please help????

I am 12 years old but i get migranes and smaller headaches. my doctor might give me medicine for the migranes but the smaller ones are annoying and i can't take like tylenol during school or anything. is there a food i can carry around in my purse or put in my locker if i get a headache? even some pressure point or something that actually works would be OK. please help!

My mothers boyfriend has larynx cancer and so she says it has spread in other parts like his neck lower back nose... I have heard you can get a prescription online, but I have also heard how unsafe they are. I have been to several different doctors and all originally put me on Pain meds but they haven't been able to figure out what is causeing the pain and have eventually taken me off them causeing me to switch doctors over and over, now my insurance is flagging me saying there is no evidence that I need pain relief, my only response is to tell them I know my body and what I feel and I can barely function because of the pain but when I have used the pain meds I feel much better. I don't think this is fair, and don't need the hassels, If my pain can't be diagnosed I should at least have access to pain relief medicines. Is it really legal to obtain them online, if so where is a legitamate place to get them.

I went to an ENT yesterday, after seeing my family doctor twice for an ear infection. He didn't mention an ear infection, but noticed either some scarring on my eardrum. He also mentioned maybe there is some type of mass behind my eardrum but can't tell, so I'm going Monday for a C.T. scan. I was told to stop using q-tips, as I have been using them daily, as far as they fit in my ear. I thought that's what they were for.. =\ Anyway, it's possible that if I stop using the q-tips, maybe this will heal up on it's own, so he says. I'm having a hard time believing they could cause this much damage, as I have been dizzy and had headaches with the ear problems. Is it really possible for q-tips to cause such things?! I hope so. Because the term "mass" kinda worries me.

I'm trying to lose weight, and I'm getting tired of running everyday to do so. But running burns so many calories, so I feel guilty just walking because then I'm not burning as much and therefore not losing as much weight. I've tried riding a bike, but I'm bored of that, too. Is there some kind of exercise that burns as many calories as running .. something new I can try?
