Health - 23 April 2007

Last friday I was admitted to the Hospital thru the ER dept with "chest pains" which nitro and pain meds brought under control my b/p and heart rate were also quite high, I've noticed now even my resting pulse rate is high 90s....at the least. I had a stress/echo which came back abnormal seems I have some scarring of the heart? Long story short the Doc that discharged me said what I had wasn't chest pain, but possibly GERD or heartburn, and did not refer me to a cardio doc? I feel like this doc was way off base.

Opinions?

I had a stuffy/ runny nose on saturday/ sunday, Which then went away this morning, now i have that sort of funny feeling the back of my throat that you get sometimes when your about to catch a cold.. So does all this mean im going to get sick? :(

My brother was shown a partner notification letter that his girlfriend of less than a year could have HIV/AIDS. Plus a letter showing her appointment for an HIV/AIDS test. I told him to dump her. She has lied and had 2 sex partners besides him but he doesn't believe it. She said that the letters are a lie. What can I do or say to make him believe it. Two letters would make me believe something is going on what about the rest of you. Give me your feelings.

I am starting an 8 week dosage of prednisone and I want to know how to prevent myself from getting acne while I'm taking that medicine. I know that acne is one of the side effects from that drug. I took it once before and I got a bad case of acne that was really painful. Thanks in advance.

I drink about once a week but when I do I drive to the liquor store almost as if I'm on a mission. I get home or go out to friends and I start drinking and I drink and drink and drink even if I know I'm drunk..it's like I just want to keep on drinking. The next morning I'm so hungover and I'm sick all day, throwing up and with a headache and I wonder how I managed to drink so much because I don't conciously think of it at the time. I've never really gotten sunburned before but yesterday I really got it. I think it really had to do with my meds which instruct to avoid exposure to the sun. My husband really wanted to take me to the airshow so I put on sunblock (SPF 50! I never used something that strong) and thought I would be ok since I never really burn that bad. Well, I'm scorched!! Red as a lobster and everything. My face doesn't really hurt but my arms are killing me. Plus my arms throb and this morning my right arm wouldn't stop cramping. It hurts so bad I can barely sleep. I've been putting on my aloe vera ice burn relief stuff which usually helps but this time it doesn't seem to be doing any good. Any suggestions?? I'm not sure what to do since I've never been burned this bad before. I usually just turn a little pink then tan because of my dark skin. Thanks for all your help!

I'm planning on loosing just over 30lbs (I'm 148lbs now and my goal is 112lbs). The main area that I would like to change is my stomach (it's 32in now and I want 24/25in). Will this leave me with sagging skin?
Also, could someone suggest a workout which burns fat from the tummy in particular?
