Well it is difficult to tell without history and seeing the patient, your cardiac surgeon is the best judge however I have searched this article for you, it might help you in understanding post complications of angioplasty, her diet will be the same as before :
Usually, the return of chest pain (angina) is the chief symptom of reclosure, or restenosis. About 60% to 70% of patients who develop restenosis will experience chest pain. Contact your doctor if you begin suffering chest pain.

However, not everyone who develops restenosis experiences chest pain, which is why you should contact your doctor if you experience unusual fatigue, shortness of breath, chest pressure, or any of the other symptoms you may have had before your angioplasty. About 10% to 20% of patients who develop restenosis experience no symptoms at all.

You really need to speak to your Doctor.
A close friend is about to have an angiogram.
He will be placed on patches, if these do not work, it is a clear sign of blocked arteries.
Depending, on your mothers blockages, and the sucess of the angioplasty, determines the outcomes.
Your mother should of been given advice, as what not to eat.
If, this was not the case, call the hospitals dietician, asap.
Take her back to the hospital, now.
I mean now.
Something is terribly wrong.

Your doctor, who knows her and her history, made a recommendation, but you want info from people only know a tiny bit about her?

I'd focus on the doctor's advice, and look for a local support group or education center. The advice you get there will be FAR SAFER for her than the sort of stuff you get here!

(No offense to the good folk posting, but let's face it- a lot of the answers across this forum are not of high quality, and a lot are just plain wrong.)
