Can't you take them during the day? if so why not? is it something to do with eating/not eating?

BTW: this is for my room mate, I just went out and bought her some senokot cause she's in a bit of pain, she was a bit worried cause' she wanted to take them now & I didn't want to give her the wrong advice.

If you take a laxative during the day you'll end up going to bathroom pretty often. That will interfere with your daily schedule. whereas at night you're in the comfort of your home and have better access to a bathroom and not feel rushed.

Laxatives do not work for me unless, I take ithem at night!

Because they take a few hours to work, so you take them at night so you can go to the bathroom in the morning. If you took them in the afternoon, you might have to get up in the middle of the night to go.

Basically take them at night so you can go in the morning.

well i for one would rather soil my bed than make a toilet mess in front of my work mates,.....thats only if i had to soil myself,i dont mean for fun,thats not my thing.
