My girlfriend took Plan B (emergency contraception) about a week a go, then 4 days later she started bleeding heavily. The next day she continued bleeding fairly heavily but it was brown blood. Today she is still bleeding brown blood and she is complaining of being nausaus and having pains a little higher than they usually are during a period and a little worse as well. She took Plan B soon after her period so the bleeding started on the 18th when she isn't supposed to get her next period until about the 5th. Should I be worried that something could be wrong. Nothing I've read seems to say a girl should have this much bleeding, pain, etc. Would these be signs of a pregnancy or possibly an ectopic pregancy? Thanks for your help, hopefully I'm just being overly worried...

im always thinking that im gonna die any minute.

I was given this diagnosis at the age of 15, but recently a therapist told me that there is no way to diagnose a 15 with this disorder. Is he right? I am now 23.

I had neck surgery on 4/10. During anesthesia I had my two front teeth broken off my upper partial. The anesthesiologist and hospital knew I had a partial but evidentially did not protect it whatsoever. I was told I bit too hard on something in my mouth and the teeth broke off. Before surgery I signed a "Consent for anethesia" which basically informed me of the complicatiions that could take place which included "teeth and dental work"
My real question is: Since they knew that these injuries could take place and I informed them I had a partial, should they have taken more care to see that this particular damage would not happen?
Since my release, I have been informed by one person representing the hospital that they were not responsible and would not help pay for the damage.
My feeling is that once I signed the liability release, they were responsible for both me and them. I feel they were neglegent. Has anybody had a similar experience?

So I woke up this morning with a terrible sore throat, a headache, neck pains, and a completly cloged and draining nose. I have no energy, and standing up makes me feel dizzy. I'm planning on taking it easy this weekend with lots of rest, but what else can I do to get over this cold faster or at least ease the symptoms?

Two years ago i was walking with a friend of mine who has a son(at the time 2 years old)and while we were talking he found a syringe with a nedle and when i saw him i tried to remove it from his hand and i am afraid that while i was doing this the nedle penetrated into my skin,exactly in the palm of my hand.There was no blood but i had the feeling that the nedle penetrated my skin.I have never had sex(i am 20 but it is not strange in the culture of my country to be virgin at this age), or made use of drugs,and i am getting crazy when i think that i may have contracted Aids.I have suffered from thrush of the mouth since i was 14 but in these two years it also happened to me to have mouth herpes(small ones occurring rarely) i have got flu one time each year,but now i cought a cold and i am having coughs and sneezing and headache.I refused to go out with the guy i like because i am afraid, i may have Aids, i have a job interview but they are going to make me a medical clearance prior to employement.I have not had symptoms such as rushes,fever or diarrea,but my tongue looks strange ,it is coated with patches,fissures and some times with some white lines on both sides,can this be hairy leukoplakia.Twice i had sweats before menstuations i think,but my friend at the medicine faculty says that this time i cought a cold very easily.Aids is not frequent in my country and i think that the syringe was there a day before i touched it,but still i am really getting crazy.How long can the virus of Aids survive in the nedle of the syringe.I am afraid to lose the guy i love and the best job i could ever have,and above all the idea people have of me.Please if a doctor sees this..help me!Sorry for my english, i am a foreigner.Please,please,please...

Well, I bite my nails really really bad.... I like bite the cuticle, and skin, and I CANT STOP!!!! I've tried over, over, over, and over!!!! I have been diagnosed with a degenerative disc and the dr suggested an ESI (Epidural Steroid Injection). I was wondering if anyone has had one and what to expect with it. He said that he isn't going to knock me out just numb the area. After that what happens? Does the pain go away quick or does it take a while? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

in addintion to my diet i ate 20 servings of mixed nuts which includes hazel nuts, brazzilian nuts, raisons peanuts almonds and more. i knows its wayyyy too much, because each servings has 6g of fat. am i gona be getting fat?

Ok. Basically, I'm 16 years old, and without me even realising, I think my eyesight has been getting worse and worse. It is only far away stuff. not close up.

I went for my L's the other day, and got freaked out when I couldn't read the eye test properly, so I said I was too nervous and ran out of the rta building! lol. i was so panicked. now i'm scared.

I have to get glasses. But I don't think they would be for ALL the time. Just driving and when I'm copying stuff from the board at school. I still really just want to ask a few simple questions.

- Who many of all of u have glasses?
- How many of you wear glasses when driving?
- What is having glasses like, generally?
- How old were u when u got glasses?
- Does this mean my eyes will be dependent on glasses for the rest of my life... and will my sight gradually get worse and worse?

I hurt my self in Nov at work, my Dr. was treating me for muscle spasms which was sever. sent me to physical therapy. The pain in my neck, back,and both shoulders was still there. Work comp. sent me to there drs. the shoulder and back dr. gave me injections in my shoulders. only helped in one. the pain in neck and shoulder and back is still there . she ordered mri on both my shoulders of course w.c. refused said I had to go for physical therapy again, i went to 6 weeks of it, the last two dizzy spells started and black outs. IN the mean time I was sent to a neck Dr. { I had a MRI done with my family on my neck and spine I have a bulge disk in my neck.] He send me to the
pain mangement for injection on my right side of the neck. In the mean time w.c.
refused the second mri. the injection did
not work. the dr. sending me to P.T. again.
and neuro. Before Lt. duty, now no work
w.c. aproved MRI less then 24 hrs.after inj.
dizzy and blackouts worse pain the same
