We, not being horses, have an entirely different metabolism driven by a different nutrient set.

Horses produce enzymes in their stomachs and intestines to process the tough proteins in grasses. We do not.

We are omnivores, meaning that we NEED to eat both meat and vegetables to obtain the nutrients required to power our systems and keep healthy.

We can attempt to go vegetarian, but that route is always fraught with strong possibility of reduced health and vigor.

Nature, like truth, will out.

Horses have different nutrient requirements than humans. They need grain and hay. We are omnivores, unless we decide to be vegetarians, but we need protein to help us be fit. They get their protein from their diet.
