probably, less people buy it so the supply is less and the price is high, and most probably women there don't use it. Austerity you know!

Write to the company and ask. In my opinion, products like this should be well-priced and readily available to the average woman, regardless of where you live. Kotex and Tampons promote good health and sanitary conditions.

You could also talk to a government representative. Or, how about writing to Oprah or another high profile person to get them to take on the cause?

I'm so sorry. What do you use, then? Kotex are getting higher priced here in America, too. You get about 20 in a bag for 6$. I think that's too high. But, I guess they feel when you've GOT to have it, you'll pay any price for it! What's next? 20$ toilet paper??
