It doesn't have to be... It happened to me once, I felt like I'm going to sleep and I'm never going to wake up! I even imagined my funeral! But the truth is that you should start thinking about something else... watch a good movie, go out with friends, just distract and you'll forget about it.

This sounds like a type of anxiety or inter-personal depression. The mental type and physical. You say that you feel like dying and that you think that you are going to die any minute. These are two separate issues. To feel like dying; to cease to live; to sink gradually; to expire, is this just a matter of speaking? Like, "I'm so tired I could just die." To feel like dying is a form of mental depression. To always think that you are going to die is an anxiety of depression and can even cause you to not even do the things that you enjoy and you go into seclusion. I think that you need to address this to your family and doctor. If the doctor suggests medication, request alternative treatment such as behavior modification. You need to find the source that is overwhelming you emotionally and conquer it. Avoid negative situations and negative thinking people. Do a personal inventory of things and people that you can do without and discard them. Well disassociate from the people that have a negative impact on you.
Keep in mind that changes like these and any type of behavior modification does not provide an instantaneous result. Studies have proven that behavior modification can take from 30-90 days, depending on the person. It is from this type of study that when entering a new job or position, there is usually a probation period of any where from 30-90 days, to see the adaptability to change as well as areas that may need improving.

I would feel anxious if I thought that I was about to die. Everyone experiences anxiety, but for some, anxiety can can become a disorder.
Fears are often irrational though. A professional can help you to sort through this issue.

Just because you always fell like dying, doesnt mean you will. It is normal for people to wonder or contemplate about death. Is there a cetain event that made you start wondering about death ( the death of a loved one, the media. the tv). You seem to have a loving family, talk to them, they will be supportive of you 100%.
If you stilll are thinking of death , consult a phychiatrist or phsycologist.
Good Luck

you can try a practice every night.
such as a check list.
write down every single happy moment in a piece of paper. the moment that really can makes you laugh even you think back.
it sounds abit silly. but it really can improve the way you think.
whenever you feel sad, take a photo or something that can make u feel better. or something that you think it is the thing that can make you proud of.
share the happiness to your friends & families.
Avoid to join with those people who can affects you feel sad, depress...
The most important is, how you define HAPPINESS?

You're probably depressed and don't realize it yet or have anxiety. Talk to someone and maybe get on an antidepressant.
