my autistic son is having great difficulty in socializing its so bad that he hasnt been to school for 18 months.in that time he has only been outside a few times also over this period he has regressed even further into himself,he has lost weight his sleep is erratic and he refuses to shower, two months since he washed ,i have tried all sorts of strategies that you can mention and they dont work .it has got to the stage now that his nurses believe he should go into this psychiatric unit for teenage boys who have varying degrees of problems, some of which i believe may be distressing for him, but they feel this is the only way foreward for him outwith his own enviroment for him to make progress,we got to sign papers to agree to this under the mental health act dont know what to do , he also got ocd and selective mutism eg he chooses when to speak and who with, please help im at my wits end.xxx admission is 28 days in hospital for assessment

I had a peek and saw a tooth starting to grow through. At first I thought it was a wisdom tooth but it turns out its actually a 2nd molar! I thought these were supposed to grow through at about aged 11 (I am now 20). I had the exact same problem with my upper left 2nd molar although I no longer experience pain. Is it normal for someone of my age to have only just started to have her 2nd molars grow through? It seemed I was late to lose my baby teeth and my dentist said I still have one left. Is this normal?

I have a horrible migraine, and I can't take any drugs because I'm doing a medical study soon, and my body has to be totally clean, (no caffine, either.) My head hurts so bad, right now, the daycare kids have been rough on my nerves, today! Help!

Had lumber laminectomy Feb 20 2007. (2nd surgery on l5s1). Never was out of pain and got worse starting 2 weeks post-op, now with pain down BOTH legs. New MRI showed NEW herniated disk on nerve....The surgeon spent more time today showing me what he cut out, than he did with the problems at hand and said the radiologist sucked and was wrong, there is no herniated disk. Even when I pointed it out on the film, he kept switching back to the picture of where he operated.
I have heard of the people that read the MRI's make mistakes sometimes, maybe miss something. I have NEVER heard of them saying something as big as that is there and it not be. Not only do I see what I beleive is a herniated disk in the pics, but I had and have ALL the clinical symptoms as well...BEFORE the MRI. Seems like the surgeon is afraid I would sue or something. I told him I just need help to get this fixed. He said the pain is DDD and the disk is so thin and I need a fusion, but he is not qualified to do it.

We did have unprotected sex (obviously at that time, we had no idea that he was infected). He has never had any symptoms of herpes. Beacause he came out positive, I had myself tested. My doc did an IGG blood test and it came out negative. It has been about 20 days since the last time intercoarse took place and we did use a condom. My question is this. Once you are infected, will it show up in the IGG test? Or is there an incubation pieriod before the test can detect it? I did have another IGG blood test ran today. I dont have the results yet, but if they are negative does that mean I am in the "clear"? Do I need to be tested again? And if I do have it, how do I tell my new partner? I feel disgusting, I am not sure how I could have even put myself in this situation!

I have bacne on my back and shoulders. I read somewhere that putting vinegar on it really helps! Does anyone know anything about this-- can it harm your skin or make the bacne worse? I'm already on acne medacine, so will using the vinegar in unison with the medication have a bad effect? Please help its almost summer and its so embarassing to show off my back!

I had a calcium deficiency as a kid and consequently had multiple fillings in every tooth. In early adulthood I received four fixed permanent bridges and several crowns. The cost was almost as much as my first home. I lost my insurance coverage just as they were beginning to fail. I now wear dental plates. They don't hurt but, they are annoying. I only take them out to brush and frequently, Part of the problem ? Please, serious answers to the above question.

I have become so concerned about things being faxed with our personal information on it, prescriptions with our id numbers on it, etc. Do the pharmacies fax these prescriptions back to the doctor's offices?
