I dance ballet, I you need skinny legs, could you give me some suggestions for losing muscle and fat in the leg quickly? Thanks!

1. Swim.
I got so obsessed with swimming after watching this show on the television. This girl was asked how she got skinny legs and she said she swims a lot. I tried that too and it works! Not only did my legs turn skinny, it became longer! I have been measuring it over the months I have been doing it and it helps heaps. Don't go serious, find a mate to go recreational swimming with you and just waddle around the pool and a couple of laps. (Breast stroke if you don't want too much muscles) Do keep in mind to warm up and cool down before excersise. And did you know swimming works EVERY part of your body?

2. Eat right
Don't go dieting. I have tried that before but I fell sick. It also might cause gastric. Drink lots of water, eat lots of fruit and vege. Remember, Veges are the best source of energy. If you thought it was meat, you are wrong. Having the energy means you'll last longer excersising. Always eat breakfast. It kick starts your day so you are more alert. If you like to snack, find healthy ones. Don't gorge down your food too. Chew on your food more so the stomach doesn't have to do it. The enzymes in your saliva help break it down. Eating slowly make you enjoy your food too. If you gorge, air would enter your stomach and bloat/stretch it. If your stomach becomes bigger, you'll need to put in more food so you do not feel hungry.

3. Habits
Sleep early so you get enough rest. It also goes in a chain. If you sleep late, you get up late. Get up late, you wasted your morning. (:

4. Have fun
As above


Occasional fatty foods won't hurt you that much. Spend lots of time in fresh air, even if it means to lie down for hours. It is advisable to take 100,000 steps a day. Just some perserverance required.

just like you can't spot reduce fat the same goes for muscle.

the only way to substantially reduce the amount of muscle mass that you have in that area would be to put the body in an extended catabolic state that would cause muscle wasting. you would have to both decrease the cals below what the BMR requires and overtrain the legs with weights, running, etc.

basically losing muscle mass in your legs will come at the expense of losing overall muscle mass and of course increasing the body fat percentage....not a good idea at all

You can amke yourself go into what they call a "catabolic state" Which means your body stops burning fat and starts burning muscle. This happens when you work out and you do not supplement your bdy with the proper nutrients after your workout like protein. But I would strongly discourage this because you literally are eating yourself alive! Plus you are only burning fat very slowly. Why would you want to get rid of muscle. Have you hought that maybe it is water wieght, a lot of women have a problem with this they think they are fat when in actuallity it is a lot of water wieght. This happens when you have a high intake of sodium or "salts" and you drink water and your body "retains" the water becasue its trying to dilute the salt. Which is of course more commonly mistaken for fat when it is not. Trying cutting down on high sodium stuff, put down the salt shaker becasue most of your food had plenty of it already. You body should be getting no more than 2500mg of salt a day. Don't try to cut out your salt completley your body need some sodium to survive. I would suggest drinking lots of water to flush yourself but don't overdo it you don't water to dilute yourself that get water intoxication which is worser than your lack of salt. By the way your question scares me. Your not just willing to get rid of fat but muscle too! Which is basicaly self destruction. Getting rid of fat...okay....but me as a guy, love women with muscle on there legs it gives them great curves and form, you don't want to lose that now do you?!

man I would like the same thing. I have the same problem. It's not fat but, it's all muscle. I'm a gymnast and workout 6 days a week 6 hours a day. When u find out let me know.

Walking 20 minutes a day should do the job. Also, eat healthy foods as well.

Usually weight loss is seen first in the legs, chest and face.

You can't lose muscle unless you do nothing over the years. For ex: Muscles get weaker over the years of you never use that muscle.
