what has always worked for me is consistent time spent on the threadmill. A healthy race walk pace for a min of 30 minutes at least 3 times a week for starters. Then as my body gets used to it I increase to 45 in the morning and 20 in eve twice a day for five days a week. nutrition is also a big factor. You need to stay away from complex carbs and all carbonated drinks. eat lots of veggies and brown rice, legume, low fat proteins and disburse you calorie and fat intake into five small meals a day. This keeps your metabolism going all day and staves off cravings for sugar an fatty foods. while on the threadmill keep it flat with no incline. The idea is you want to take advantage of the full range of motion that a flat roe provides such that you work out all the muscles in your legs without much resistence. the resistence created by inclines can make the muscles in your legs bulk up and you dont want to do that until you lean up the fat.stretching before and after is as important as the workout itself. If you are not familiar with yoga poses then I would reccomend that you purchase a dvd that you can follow before and after your workout. Stretching is not overrated it warms up your muscles and increases circulation so that fat cells and toxins that are trapped in your chubby thighs are efficiently carried away from that area. I have lst up to 7 pound in a month off of just being consistent with yoga and stretching

you cant choose which body part to lose weight off - it has to be overall weight loss.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)
