not possible. and if you do starve yourself all you lose is gona be water weight and muscle and you will gain back even more as soon as you start eating normal.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

Without knowing how much you weigh (and how tall you are) now, there is no way to even guess if a 30 pound weight drop is even possible. I can say this though... There is no healthy way to lose 30 pounds in one month.
If you need to lose the weight for the part, advise the casting personnel at the audition that you will be able to reach a goal weight by the time the performance starts

It is possible but not without starvation or damage to yourself
You can lose "weight" by dropping water but it comes back quickly and once again you risk causing yourself harm The only hope that I can give you is that muscle burns calories fast and I lost a nice amount of weight by lifting weights and cutting back on my calorie intake using proteins as my main food source i.e low fat yogurt small portions lean meat low cal. cheese sticks ectr. not eating anything after eight o'clock @ night if I needed a snack I would use dry cereal like cheerios or some other sort without a lot of sugar & no calorie drinks ie all diet drinks no juices either too much sugar. It is hard to do this and after you drop the desired pounds you need to slowly raise your calorie intake to a level to maintain your weight otherwise you could drop too much weight and cause health issues ( I know this because that's what happend to me) Good luck

That is hard to accomplish at home so you obviously need to go to the gym. Eat healthy, drink lots of water, exercise for an hour and a half at the gym.

You can do it! cardio, then eat, stretch, cardio but differrent then 1st cardio, and repeat. take a mid day nap, take a daily multi vitamin, only water for drink, unless you are going to use meal replacement drinks with added nutrients, and energy boosts, then water, situps and pushups and pull ups, not as much as the cardio stuff though. Hard core cardio, not i'm jogging for 1 hour crap. RUN

it is possible, but not recommended. you'll gain them all back + more.
other it's simple - eat less calories, exercise more& be happy. To do this you'll need self discipline. If you don't have it - look for help from doctors:

It's only possible if you are extremely overweight.
