My husband and I had unprotected sex 2 days ago while I was in the middle of my cycle and think I had already ovulated (we are new to using the diaphram and forgot to put it in). I took plan b 24 hours later, but didn't take the second pill until 17 hours after the first. How effective is plan b if I missed the second pill by 5 hours? Also, if I already ovulated, and the egg was fertilized, can plan b still work? I thought it worked through preventing the release of the egg, but what if the egg was already released? How high is the risk of pregnancy if I already have a fertilized egg in my system, but used plan b within 24 hours of unprotected sex? I know it's supposed to shed the uterine lining so the ovum has nothing to attach to, but is this realiable?

Anyone out there been on both prednisone and medrol? I'm curious to see which one you felt was better for you. I'm on day 4 of taking Prednisone, but wondering if Medrol may be better for me. I'm already swelling from the steroids. Just looking for the lesser of the two evils.

If you haven't been on both, but have been on one of the two, let me know your experience of that as well. THANKS!

Does anybody know how long it takes to heal? I don't care about the pain. I can't go back to work until it heals enough for me to be able to climb a ladder. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

I know drinking milk helps you grow but if you drank teh same amount of white milk would you grow taller than drinking the same amount of chocolate milk? I do know your parents height affects your height but I am trying to find ways to help yourself grow taller. I already know drinking milk, exercising, and sleep. If you have anymore than please add. Also how many hours of sleep are needed for a young teenager?

I was prescribed Metronidazole by my GP for bacterial vaginosis and have been getting REALLY bad side-effects. I started the course on Friday morning, and the BV hasn't cleared up yet. However, at 430 this morning I woke up FREEZING cold and within a couple of minutes I vomited, only just making it to the toilet. I've felt dizzy and headachey all day, and was sick again at about 3pm. At about 6pm tonight, I walked in to the bathroom and fell over (? collapsed? I don't know! I don't know if I passed out!) I know that I seriously whacked my shoulder and back!

I called NHS Direct at 630, they're not going to be able to phone me back for about 4 hours. I'm due to take another one at about 830pm, and I don't know whether to take it or not!!

Please can somebody advise me?! I can't find anything on the web - all it says is "complete the course".

Please help!!

My grandson is 3 years old. He has little bumps on top of his ears and is red. What could this be? He keeps pulling on them which is probably causing the redness.

My back usually hurts, but when my neck hurts, it just goes numb. like it fell assleep. It is the strangest sensation and has been happening for about a year or so. I'm only 26 I am at a healthy weight(135) and am 5'2. Do I need to have surgery or just a reallignment? When I was 16 I went to a chiropractor and couldn't walk for about a month, so I don't really trust them, but my fiance goes about once a week and feels great.

First of all I want to thank all you gals who answered my Pre-hysterectomy questions a few weeks earlier and shared your stories with me!! I need you to share again....

It is now week 2 post-op. Had the full open surgery and am healing fine. I took my own staples out (the day before the doc was going to remove them) for they were driving me nuts, poking me from different angles. Went to the checkup a week after and my doc was surprised I hadn't had any hotflashes yet . I have had no hot flashes but have been warm on a few occasions but nothing like the horror stories of sweating I have been told.

I feel tired way to much in my opinion and yet do not sleep well at night. Is this normal ? Will this be life from now on ?

I am sore, achy, headachy & pale and wondering how long this is suppose to go on. The doc. says, of course, 6 weeks is recovery. I just want you gals to share with me your post experience now to sort of calm my anxieties of what is going on.

how do you get out of doing the cycle?
do you lose calories after you throw up or it doesnt really do anything?
does it make you really tired?
