A long time ago I was on paxil for my anxiety disorder and didn't gain any weight. The other side effects were horrible tho....eek.

Take Care,

Lexapro is a great choice; I take it! It actually can help in some cases with weight loss! The side affects are ninimal if any. Will offer you the benefit of clearer thinking too address problems you deal with day to day, or events that generally may take some time. If anything in the negative aspect for me, it did increase my craving for carbs, but that is where each of us must learn self control and in moderation. Hope this helps!! :)

Effexor and Wellbutrin both will cause you to lose weight not gain it. Just make sure it's for depression and not ManicDepression (i.e. BiPolar disorder). They will not help with the manic periods and can even make them worse. I'm on Wellbutrin and Zoloft both.

I've actually lost using Wellbutrin. But it's kinda hard to gain when you're depressed and can't eat!

Wellbutrin is supposed to be good for that. Maybe it is, but it didn't work for anything else. It made me crazy.
