Do we give up control of our minds during a movie? When is the last time you got so involved during a movie or TV show that you actually felt emotion? You were literally in a hypnotic trance, although you still have the power to emerge from that state if desired. Your mind may be guided by a movie, TV show, self-hypnosis tape, or Hypnotherapist, but YOU still have the power to resist.

If you are sleepwalking, is that a form of hypnosis?

I am training to be a counsellor. What I dont understand is why there has to be so m uch self disclosure on my part. There may be parts of my past that have had a part in constructing who I am, but why do I have to reveal this to a tutor or the rest of the group for that matter. I am a private person who has dealt with 'the demons' and truly am ok with my past - been through counselling myself. So why am I made to feel that if I don't disclose myself that there is something wrong with me - maybe I am just a private person and given that self disclosure to clients is inappropriate, what makes it appropriate at the training stage?

Hey everybody...I'm a 18-year-old girl, kinda average or a little bit more...I don't really have problems with weighting a little bit more, (unless it's too much and it seriously affects your health)...BUT in two weeks I'm going to Paris etc so I wanna look really stylish and good in my clothes... Is it too late to start a diet and exercise daily? I mean, eating vegetables, fruits,etc for 2 weeks and exercising a lot would make me look any fitter in two weeks?

If we didn't have to wait so long? We have an appointment for 10:00 a.m. We sit in the waiting room until 11:00 a.m. and then go to the examination room for another hour. I find it very dehumanizing. I saw somebody trying to explain away the wait the other day, but I don't think I buy it. I think these professional people are just that way, and do it just to impress us that they are important .

i recently fell outside of work (about two weeks ago)... my face slammed onto the ground. I ended up having to wear my retainer again after a long period of time going without. (i'm 20). everything on my face hit (forehead, nose, lip, teeth, chin)... I recently started feeling jaw pain (on the left side only.. just slight soreness)... it will go away for a few days and then come back. could this be associated with the above? it seems like is should have gone away by now. only hurts when i open... kind of feels like swelling (can feel it kind of in my ear as well).

i was ment to have 2 teeth out a few months ago and couldnt as i have a massive fear of needles and they wanted me to be awake for it. this was for my orthadontist. last week i went tio my normal dentist and he says he wants me to have another tooth out but i will be knocked out and i am fine with this as this is what i wanted in the 1st place do you think when they knock me out that they could take the other teeth out at the same time or not?
