There could be a number of reasons for a low mood - hormone imbalance, mineral deficiency, too many toxins in the body etc. If it was me, I would look at two things:
1 - Ensure I received adequate nutrition
2 - Detox my body
Unfortunately many believe we can get all our nutrition from food. This is not the case and we need to supplement. Many are also unaware of the harmful ingredients used in our every day personal care products.
I have been fortunate enough to find a company whose philosophy is looking after the body as a whole, inside and out. If you would like me to forward an on-line presentation of this international research and development company that produces safe, toxin free products and how you can access these products, email me at leanne27@aapt.net.au

Taking care of you physical wellbeing can be tremendously helpful in treating your mental health too. Make sure you are eating you 5 portions of fruit and veg a day (that's about half a kilo or 1lb in weight) also drink your litre and a half of water. Avoid too much caffine and take regular exercise. The problem when you are feeling low is motivating yourself to do this, that's probably the hardest part, but try and focus on how much better you will feel.
Good luck

Plenty of light!! I find I feel down throughout the winter months and someone recently pointed out that I could have what is known as SAD (seasonal affected Disorder) and the best remedy is good lighting and as much natural light as possible. I changed all the light bulbs in my house to a stronger wattage and it really worked!!Hope this works for ya, theres nothing worse than feeling down. :)

Try Bach Flower Remedies, but prefer to get it from bach center than india.
If the mood is deeper than just a passing mood, visit a homeopath who treats on the basis of constitution. A well selected constitutional remedy has a tremendous effect on how you feel, and it's deep.

St. John's wort is effective. Also, try controlling negative thoughts. When one comes into your head, imagine a computer with "negative" on it, mentally hit "erase" and imagine a pretty view in its place, such as a beach or a forest or a lake.

I feel the same. I am seeing a counsellor about it. I was told I am suffering from SAD ( Seasonal Affective Disorder). It can be cured by a bright sunlight or a special lighting.

There are some people who say that St. John's wort helps, but I really think that you should speak to a doctor. If you would rather do other therapies, try counseling and biofeedback.
