I have been on cymbalta for 6 months and now i am having very vivid dreams filled with hurtful things, not hurting myself but hurting everyone else

That is quite possible. Talk to your doctor if the dreams are bothering you enough that it is disrupting your life. There are other medications they can use instead of Cymbalta.

I told my doctor I wasn't depressed but she put me on cymbalta to help with my eating disorder. I was on it for a few days when I started getting extremely depressed and having suicidal thoughts. I didn't want to leave bed and I slept all day. I hadn't experienced symptoms like that since I was about 16 years old. So I stopped taking it and it took over a month for those feelings to go away. To sum it up, because of what its used for it very well could have something to do with these unusual dreams. You should tell your doctor or pshyciatrist, you might need a different medication.
