My best friend is a single mom with a very difficult to deal with 4 year old little boy. He has behavior problems and doesn't listen to her commands. She is very stressed out from dealing with him because the father is not in the picture, her family is 8 hours away and she is raising him all alone.
She works at a job dealing with special needs teenagers that can become physically violent at any moment. She says that the stresses of her job and then having to come home late in the evenings and deal with her son are starting to effect her health.
She says her memory is starting to go and her hair is starting to fall out. She plans on going to the doctor and asking for a prescription for nerve pills to deal with her problems. Are drugs really the solution here?
I am concerned about her but am not really able to help much because she lives in Maryland and I am way up in Michigan. Should she really be taking nerve pills to deal with her everyday life?

My friend who had an operation to put in a rod to help heal a bone fracture in lower leg --- fibula and tibia --- is supposed to have been given a general anaesthesia mixed in food, as I heard from someone. I need to know what kind of general anaesthesia would this be? He said the doctor kept slapping him to wake him up saying the surgery is over.

Is this anaesthesia enough to put in a rod or would he also have received local anaesthesia? below his waist for the entire lower body or only down the knee on which the operation was held?

Where is the anaesthesia for below the waist given?

With general anaes. would he be reuired to receive catheterisation for unrination? with anaesthesia below the waist?

since congestive heart failure meant that the heart is not pumping out enough blood to supply the body.

Doesn't every heart failure result in congestive heart failure (CHF)?

Is CHF a symptom or a consequence or an equal to heart failure?

I have a doc s appointment in a few days but in the meantime I m trying to find out what the problem could be. I m 28 and very active and healthy. I recently started bleeding in betwen my periods. This is accompanied with acute pain in the abdomen and back. I also experience nausea and dizziness along with lack of appetite. A friend of mine suggested it may be ovarian cysts. I would like to hear if anyone out there has experienced the same. Thanks.
