i mean.. how many times do i have to see these... or even more so "am i pregnant?" why dont people use common sence? get a pregnancy test, call your doctor. why do people think we can tell you what your problem is when maybe 15% of the time someone could be right?
why play with your health people?

some are scared
some are stupid
some are just damned dense in the head!
i often wonder why people just dont get a otc test to see if they are pregnant or make that doctors appointment. frankly i think they are scared they are going to be told they got the cooties from from freaky sex night and may be embarrased to go to the doctor.
but when they start smelling like fish, i bet they will start running to the dr then

Peace of mind. They find comfort in knowing what it could be and then try to deal with it. Not all of us can hop in a car and go to the doctor or hospital. My families' insurance covers nothing of the sort. The only time we go to the doctor or E.R. is if we are running a high fever and are extremely sick or in pain, or injured. Not everyone has an extra couple hundred dollars for a trip and medicine. Most of us look for alternative ways of healing or either ride it out.

Some people may not understand that it is something urgent. They may not have health insurance or may be afraid to tell their parents if they are young. I agree that some things seem quite obvious to me that it needs urgent medical attention, but then again, I have medical training. I try to be patient and share what I can. I once had a very bad allergic reaction with hives all over and swelling on my face when I was a child. My stepmother (admittedly not the brightest person on the planet) said I was bitten my mosquitoes. Even at 6 or 7 I realized that there was slim to none chance that I was bitten by thousands of mosquitoes without knowing it.

Understandably, if you have a severe wound, a doctor at a hospital would be the place to go. Equally as understandable, is the fact that many people have lost faith in general health care. From what I see doctors will treat symptoms rather than causes. If they don't know what something is, it will fall into the categories of either a virus or 'it's genetic'. Doctors go to uni to learn how to 'fix'. Very few learn comprehensive nutrition or prevention.
People truly interested in their health will continue to seek out a company that can provide them with world class products that are safe and toxin free.
Unfortunately many are mistaken to think that 'organic', or 'natural' is a healthier option. All organic means is that the ingredient has not been sprayed with pesticides. Nettles can be organic but they are not safe. Snake venom is natural and also not safe.
I have been fortunate enough to be aware of one company that can provide me safe and toxin fee hair care, skin care, personal care, dental care, baby/child care, sun care and the list goes on. Being a mum of three young boys I am very grateful to have access to this.
If you are interested in being able to access these products, please email me at leanne27@aapt.net.au

It could possibly be that someone is very young and frightened to see a health professional. Maybe they dont feel comfortable walking through a family health clinic to find out. Just remember what it was like to be young or just what its like to feel like you cannot talk to anyone. I think its great that anyone can come on here to voice concerns about their health. It may not even be that they do not want to go to a professional but that they want some sort of validation from their peers. Everyone is somewhat curious to hear anothers opinions on what to do or where to go, that's just how we are. You shouldnt be condemning people for wanting to know about things that may never be raised if were not for this site. Just feel good that there is a place to go when some people feel lost, trapped or alone. :)
I MEAN EVERYONE!! IT'S COMMON SENSE WHY THEY DO COME ON HERE...EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! People sometimes need to feel like they can confide in people that will never know their identity...its the most private way and one xan be totally truthful without being embarrassed!
P.S You make no good basis for this argument...it seems closed minded

Yeah, I agree that some are a bit ridiculous and would be better off at outpatients... but some people like to bounce things off other people first, get an opinion. It doesn't hurt, it just makes them feel more confident when they actually do go to see a doctor - and can even motivate those that would normally keep away from one.

Sometimes I think it's because they are panicked and the first thing they can think of is to come here. So the easiest answer for when they do is to tell them to contact their dr or go to the ER.

LOL, no kidding... Stuff like, " I'm having chest pain, sweating, and I just threw up. Could I be having a heart attack?"
I'm like...dummy.. maybe you should call your dr. or go to the er instead of sitting at the pc...
Another thing is that people who have totally no medical training are giving advice.. Now thats scary..

It's "common sense", not "common sence".
But, I agree. A bunch of people on the internet can't diagnose you. See a doctor.
