I have a doc s appointment in a few days but in the meantime I m trying to find out what the problem could be. I m 28 and very active and healthy. I recently started bleeding in betwen my periods. This is accompanied with acute pain in the abdomen and back. I also experience nausea and dizziness along with lack of appetite. A friend of mine suggested it may be ovarian cysts. I would like to hear if anyone out there has experienced the same. Thanks.

It also could endometriosis. I started getting the symptoms at 22. I have bleeding between my periods and during sex, lower back pain, cramps, fatigue, and prolonged periods. Since this isn't something that can be usually found by a regular exam you might have to bring it up. It took me 6 years and 5 doctors to finally get diagnosed. You can read the link for more info on it.

Yep, cysts if big enough can cause a lot of pain but the dizziness and nauseau could be associated with hormone imbalances or something like endometriosis. The dr will check all that. I have had problems with nauseau during my period and of course pain but not dizziness.

I hope that you get an answer soon.

Could you be pregnant?, as i had the same symptoms when i was suffering from a ectopic pregnancy, but these symptoms could mean a number of other things as well, like a cyst, endometriosis, (i think thats how you spell it) or you could have just injured yourself while being active.
You have done the right thing by booking a doctors appointment, i hope it goes well for you.

I had a similar problem when using the contraceptive implant and this had to be removed a year early. Have you read up on possible side affects of your pill/jab/coil etc?

Any chance you could be pregnant?
